And they only gave up 31 on the defensive end :)

Why does this thread have anything less than a perfect five stars?

The OP is dead on. This is why we have one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) frontcourt rotations in the league.

I assume you are talking about Beasley + Marion, but neither Scola nor Landry were guarding Marion for most of the game. Scolandry is our PF rotation, not our starting forward combo, so it is not a valid comparison to pit them against the starting forward combo of the opponent team.

I'll give you an "A" for effort, though.

i love what each guy brings to the table...it shakes up the game and boosts our game through one of them.

Beasley torched Landry on multiple occasions and Scola at least twice. Not that it mattered in the end because the guy couldn't buy a basket, but still.

What I was more disappointed in for Landry was that he still is always a step late to help on defensive rotations. It causes his teammates to get fouls or the other team to get a basket and 1 when he fouls them.

My god if we could just teach the kid help defense he would be close to perfect!

And that's why we have Hayes on our team :)

I don't know dude. Scola, Landry, Hayes? is pretty Bad ass. And I would rather have three pf who can sub in and out (no fatigue) then 1 superstar who would get winded by facing the three-headed monster. muhahhahaha.
sorry I'm just a Houston Rockets nuthugger.

    please accept my apology.

btw are you the left or right testi of brooks?

We must have been watching different games because Scola many times matched up with Marion on the switch. Also Marion played some Power Forward. They only played 8 guys. But, at least Marion is an All Star level player. Beasley is a rookie and what, 10-12 games in and he had a field day with Scola. In general, Scola and Landry's help defense was as usual, non-existant.

I don't blame either for their D on Beasley. That rookie can ball. He had 12 first half points on amazing offensive moves...I doubt there were many who could have truly stopped him. Dude was pulling up from 20, taking jumpers and driving and finishing left.

He only scored 2 second half points. Scolandry was just fine, and Beasley had to cool off some...he ain't a star yet.

I didn't want them to stop him, just keep him in front of them. I would much rather he take a jumper than drive to the basket. :) Especially since they were both late on help defense the whole game (though maybe that was because they were paying too much attention to Beasley and not team defense)

And Beasley didn't really cool off in the 2nd half, they just stopped going to him. Scola's defense on him was an absolute joke for a guy who has been playing pro ball since he was 20.

Camby would be a great backup center too. But the injuries make him too risky. I could picture him and Yao both out at the same time.
