He was better than this two years ago before the broken leg. If he stays healthy he can get MVP this year.

It made me feel really good to see Yao score off a pick-and-roll tonight. That is definite proof his mobility is improving and the old Yao might return.

True, but lets try and be optimistic. They are obviously trying to limit his minutes this year more than in previous years. Hopefully that will be the tick. Take him out early, should have been taken out with 2 min left in the Heat game, but was left in and took a spill.

bold statement dude considering LA is easily the best team at the moment

and no Ming isn't back yet, you can see him grimace a bit and tire easy. adelman isn't making it easy on him either

Won't say he is BACK yet. Let's see and judge after the All-Star break.

What is wrong with you? Is there recent successes here bothers you?
Yao's improving is a good thing. Can you see a lot of times 4 or 5 rockets in double figures? Jealous?

He's playing better because he's getting more touches on the block. Also they stopped putting him at the high post.

i hope man... he is the most important player for this team if we want to go well in the playoffs. i rate yao nearly as important for us then kobe and lebron are for their teams

i think the proper question is why are you still a rookie with over 1600 posts?

i've been following the rockets since hakeem was a rookie named akeem. its just the natural flow of things. of course i hope he is healthy and monstrous
throughout and leads us to a championship. but houston is a cursed city. look at the then oilers and now texans, astros, and rockets until hakeem's talent and the championship teams broke that curse.

even the tennessee titans cant shake the houston curse.
hopefully yao calls on bruce lee's ghost and goes jeet-kun-do on the whole league.

Yao has played well the last 3 games. To think we have the second best record in the West with most of our losses are very close against some very good team, and that this team will get a all NBA defense player back and former all star in his prime back (I can dream can't I :D ), we're only gonna get better, much better in the coming months.

yao's been absolutely superb on this road trip (22 ppg on 61% shooting).

i think whenever we see yao struggling, give him a game off. this strategy worked. he seems like a new, refreshed, and revived player since taking the dallas game off.

Yao has looked good, but I wouldn't say he's totally back. His rebounding and defense has looked pretty weak.
