Starting at the top of the Organization

CD/Rudy - Trade and/or draft the right personnel, I don't think Lamar Odom is the answer, crackhead in waiting. P.S, we don't need mike dunleavy, we already have dave langhi. Chris Wilcox doesn't have jumper but I like his upside. No center in the NCAA tournament impressed me. I think Chris Marcus is the body we need to contend in the middle with the Shaq diesel, Duncan, Vlade, etc...

Steve - Learn to play some type of defense against point guards or are you tanking for the teams benefit

Cat - Watch some John Stockon/Magic Johnson tapes to improve your passing skills

Griffin - Work on your handles and shooting off the dribble. In addition, stop by the gym and pick up those heavy things call weights. Chris Wilcox wants your spot

Cato - Try a diet and some cardio excercise. You get tired after 3 trips up/down the court

KT - Layup drills all summer long, you would have average another 6 points per game.

Glen Rice - Homeboy, please retire, I want to remember you as great player, not a bank robber.

Mo Taylor - Put the joint down and grab a salad and some weights.

Moochie - Remove dribble, dribble, dribble, and some more dribble from your vocabulary. We're tired of watching you dribble out the shot clock.

Torres - Learn the language, it's heard to get minutes when you don't understand the language

Collier - The NBDL is waiting on you

Brown - The NBDL is waiting on you

Langhi - Improve your attitude and body or the NBDL is waiting on you

    No notes for Morris?

I'd think something along the lines of Find your Jumpshot would be appropriate. :)

Other than that, I'd like to see him improve his ball handling, learn to play better perimeter D, and gain some more competetive fire.

If he could do those things this off season, I think everyone would be pleased with him.

I find your remark about Oscar to be a little offensive. You don't have any reason to pick on his language skills. Keep the helpful suggestions to basketball.

Sorry for all the negativity; not trying to give you a hard time or anything. Just grumpy today.

Thanks relativist for the feedback, I must admit that I felt bad afterwards.

Collier's still under contract for next year. The NBDL will have to wait another season before being graced with his presence.

    One more thing for Rudy:

Trash the iso's and GET A NEW PLAYBOOK THAT REQUIRES SHARING THE BALL. Take a hint from the UConn ladies team coach (?Auriema sp.?) who mandates at least 2-3 passes before taking a shot in their set offense.

Our culture of selfishness will lead nowhere good:(

    Dallas Rocket,

I don't know if you get a chance to catch Bill & Calvin, but Calvin discusses the need for a passing offense every game. So maybe, with Rudy and Calvin being buddies, Calvin can plead his case to Rudy.

    Live,

I do watch the Rocket's games and Calvin goes nuts every game about: players not passing, overdribbling, running down the clock, showboating, making the game fancy instead of easy, driving into traffic, not pushing the ball, making dumb plays....I could go on. How come everyone but Rudy seems to get it?? Or maybe I'm just missing something:rolleyes:

I know. RT never gets to watch the telecasts, he's too busy rolling his eyes and burying his head in his hands:rolleyes:

Rudy has lost control of the team this year. Steve and Cat have free reign to do whatever they desire. All O, no D and the plays Rudy has designed are too simple and it makes us easy to defense.

As far as Chris Marcus is concerned...Im not a huge fan of his but if he lasts until the 14th pick, I could stomach taking a chance on him a lot more that if we took him at 5 or 6.

    NJRocket,

Chris Wilcox would average more rebounds than Kelvin Cato or Maurice Taylor who are both pathetic.

Are you talking about Chris Wilcox or Chris Marcus? Im all for taking Wilcox at the 5 or 6... not Marcus

NJ my apologies, I agree, Chris Marcus is looking like 2 sandwichws the beefy center now in the NBDL that was on the Rockets roster 2 years ago and cannot help.

Is there a reason to believe Chris Wilcox will get any playing time when he is a rookie and behind MoT, KT, & EG on the depth charts?

Otherwise, we may be using a high pick to replicate Zack Randolph at Portland -

    5.3 mpg / 1.5 boards / .08 blocks / 2.5 ppg

Maybe we should use the pick (or picks) to trade down for a vet.

I could live with Chris Marcus at #14. He's more likely than Wilcox to get PT given he's competing against Cato & Collier for minutes and is supposed to have some semblance of a low post game.

I think Wilcox is enough of an athlete to play spot 3 and 5

He did just fine when he shut down Dunleavy, who isn't lightning quick, but at least as quick as Jordan, Van Horn, Williamson etc

@ C I think he might get pushed around by the bigger centers (Jahidi White, Shaq) etc but if Houston is a running team as they should be, who's going to chase HIM down the court?

If we can't get our hands on Ming, Draft Wilcox, trade up for Caron Butler, (a guy who carried his team through the season, and tournament) and just add water

Also, who here would rather have Drew Gooden vs. Wilcox? I only saw him (Gooden) in the last couple games but I wasn't very impressed... what did I miss?

Guys, the reason that Chris Marcus looked so chunky in the NCAA Tournament (probably the only time most of us got a chance to see him) was that he had recently returned from foot surgery. He was unable to work out effectively, and his weight went up. Before the surgery, he was in much better condition. He was still very big, but for the most part, it was "good big." Still a little flab, but not nearly as much as when most of us saw him.

I think he'll be another Olowakandi, only with a more refined offensive game out of college. Kandi Man is playing great now. That could be Marcus in only 2 years. I'd jump at the chance to take Marcus at #14-15, but I'm not sure if he'll be there by then.

What is two sandwiches up to these days? Pts, rbs, lbs? I wonder about guys like him and Big Stanley, sometimes. Are they in the league with Roy Tarpley?

I don't want anyone who has the nerve to pull down their shorts at the free throw line.

    Period.

Plus, he looks fat. We know from our experiences with fat guys. Fat guys just don't work out. Fattys can't run. Fattys can't jump. And oh yeah...fatty fat fats who try to play this game can't do it. The fats just can't. They're just...to fat.

    Sorry. I like that word.

And I'm all for trading for Lah-Mah. I'd take that crackhead on any day if he guarentees 16 PPG, 7 RPG, and 4 ASP. Wait. Unless we can get Rah-Shahd. I'll take him. That boy can shoot the rock. Well, so can Lah-Mah, but not in the same context.
