Does a political refugee get citizenship? If not, what are the restrictions of movement? If yes, what coinditions?? Where does a refugee have to get to get it? US soil or land rented by US, US territiory?
is it just me or is too hard these days to look things up in a search engine? webpage: http://www.ins.usdoj.gov/graphics/services/asylum/ google search: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=political+asylum,+U.S.&btnG=Google+Search some available search engines: http://www.google.com http://www.search.com http://www.yahoo.com http://www.mama.com and those are the ones just off the top of my head...
No one...... yet. Rockhead, Sorry, I was hoping to get someone with some experience to talk about the complications. It seems to me that a Palestinian in the West Bank would qualify for asylum if they could get to the US. I don't want the US to have the problems Israel has, but don't want to close the borders completely. I could see INS having a very dificult time sorting potential suicide bombers from refugees seeking freedom and peace.
