Kobe underwent arthoscopy on his knee last season in July.....

"Kobe Bryant underwent arthroscopic surgery in his right knee Saturday and could sit out part of training camp in October because of a recovery time of up to 12 weeks.

Bryant, 27, will be out at least eight weeks after undergoing a procedure to clean out scar tissue and loose cartilage in the same knee that has given him problems."

He played in all 82 games

TMac had the same surgery in May !

"Rockets team doctor Tom Clanton said no structural damage was found in the ligament or cartilage of McGrady's left knee."

    Come on.....

I don't know why you still don't realize that arthroscopic surgery just removes loose bodies...it does not fix what T-Mac's initial knee injury was (deep brone bruise), it just helps alleviate the added pressure.

It is not just the surgery which is hampering his athleticism, it is the injuries before that happenned.

So you are saying that the bone bruise that happened a year ago is the issue?

Didn't Yao fracture his knee cap and come back 4 months later? That has a big bone bruise too.

Didnt tmac play through the pain for much of the season? Don't answer that, it was a rhetorical question. Playing through injuries tends to make them worse and therefore much harder to recover completely from.

This is a great plan. We don't want his knee to be bothersome once it comes to playoff times.

Its good to see how adelman's lowering T-macs minutes accordingly

Tmac nevers cares the easy games and easy shots because only the hard commisions can upgrade his fame and fans' respect for him. we all remember him for his 13/35 but no one cares about his sucking games againest poor teams. Will we still remember his three consective 3s in the final minutes againest wizards in years? But we still remember his busting lay-up in the game againest Lakers. It seems that Tracy McGreedy never intends to shine until the rockets are to lose the game, but it's always too later when he starts to shine. I mean, the games always end before McGreedy gets warmed up.

Agree 1000%. Well said. He just needs to man up and quit complaining or he needs to sit and strengthen his knee. This crap has gotten so old over the years.

I think AD wouldn't sit Tmac or at least Tmac won't suit up until Shane is back.

I am really hoping that shane can come back and we give artest and Yao some geling time.

Artest will need to be playing a bigger role in order to get his game going.

I'm saying that it has been one thing after another with his knee; an accumulative injury. It is NOT just the arthroscopic surgery that is ailing him right now, which you keep hinting at.
