I know this isn't the hangout thread, but it is where I find most of the animosity on this site, so I posted this here. Why is it that people get so bold when they're sitting at their desk in front of a monitor, miles away from the other people on this site? Shouldn't we be able to maintain the same level of respect for eachother that we do when we're talking face-to-face? I'll make a commitment to try myself, and I'd like other posters to follow suit. Now let's try this new peacable approach out with a topic: what was it that hooked you on the Rockets? For me it was back in '92 when I saw a day game between the Rockets and Sonics on channel 20 and the announcer started off by saying "...matchup that includes one of the hottest teams in the NBA today..." and while I was thinking he spoke of the Sonics there, he went on "...your Houston Rockets." This intrigued me into watching the whole game and as it turned out, the Rockets won the game and my heart.
If your calling me out... Thats fine....My post was out of line anyway....Your a Rockets fan.....I'm a Rockets fan.........The beef is squashed....Rockets vs. Atlanta....I watched the dream stomp all over Dominique Wilkins squad....I became a fan.....But after watching every game of the regular and post season of the years they won their championships....I truley became a fan. Even now when I think of the Rockets....although they are struggling....I think of the way I felt when they won those first two championships.....
honestly, not at all. you had a little influence on this post, but i didn't put it up til i saw three more posts by other people who were being the same way as me and you in that other thread. but thanks for being the mature one about the whole situation and breaking it down like that, i appreciate your respect and would like you to know that you have mine.
