I respect Chuck Hayes' game and all but he has to go. Being 6'6 and playing the 4 and 5 spot is way to short for a player in the West. I appreciate is hustle and defense but the guy is a huge liability on offense. Everyone is saying Dorsey is like another Hayes or can be better but i disagree. I've seen Dorsey play but he does not have the foot speed like Hayes does to slide his feet and not foul.

I dont know who would take him and this is a business but the Rockets need to trade Hayes. I doubt no one would take him straight up so I'm guessing we would have to package him in a deal. The problem is who would take an undersized 6'6 PF/C

Chuck Hayes is the furthest thing from being a problem on this team, lol.

Have to agree with that. He shouldn't have ever played in the NBA. Obviously, he is a very good defender, but. Last 2 or 3 games even his defense was pathetic.

Y'all are crazy. You never trade your consistent players when you only have 2 consistent players and 1 happens to be in a red blazer every night. Seriously. Horrible idea. Horrible.

    Get ready for the slams.

Not from me I used to agree with you. Not anymore of course. I am pressed at Hayes' defense against almost anyone irregardless of size. When Yao is out Hayes plays better D at the C than anyone else. He is too short to play center but we don't have anyone really better right now. I guarantee you a lot of bigger guys hate him. That was kind compared to what you are about to get.

Psst. The NOH-Rockets game where Hayes shut down David West called. They want their dissenter back.

Hayes is great. Don't think he is a problem.

you say he's good on defense, but he's too short - so you're saying that he can't defend taller players, and is thus not good on defense..

    Is Hayes really 6'6?

JVG has been saying Landry is 6'6. The other annoucer reminded JVG that Landry is 6'8 and JVG said he didnt trust those listed measurement.

Then, JVG said Landry is 6'6 again in Mavs game.

And Landry is taller than Hayes!!!

To my eyes, Landry looks more like 6'7, and Hayes is more like 6'5.

yea tell me when we face utah in the playoffs please.

he basically shut down aldridge earlier this year singlehandedly when scola and landry looked helpless.

we need to limit his minutes more but he's very valuable. he's playing a lot now b/c battier is not playing.

Of course, I am not saying Chuck is a problem. He helped us but man it is tough decision for coach.

You decide between defense and ofense. You put Chuck and you play 4 on 5, but you improve defensivly.

He sucked badly in Washington. He couldn't stop Jamison. But okay, he also can have night off.

I love his heart, passion and defense. But his no offense hur the team I belive. But we shouldn't call him a problem.

Go watch one of those uptempo teams that play no defense and lose every year if you are unable to appreciate good defensive basketball.

He makes something like $1.7M this season and can alter games with his ability neutralize the opponent's best frontcourt player. If you REALLY think that somehow amounts to a problem I don't know how to respond to you.

Some players help on offense more than they hurt the defense. Chuck is the opposite. He's a poor offensive player, without question. But he's a superb defender, and I'd say on the whole his defense more than offsets his lack of offense.

    Wonderful Idea.

So I guess when Aldridge, Amar'e, David West, Chris Bosh, and whoever have a field day playing against us, we'll still win. Right? Great idea.

I don't even care if he plays.
I want Hayes to play in my practices.
    He makes everyone work harder.
    He's like a player coach.

Let me teach you how to play positional defense.

You are out of your mind. How can a guy who plays a role as a defense specialist, used specifically when the other PF/C gives other guys problems, becomes an issue?
He does not make much either.
Most guys appreciate him much more than hate his offense.
Remember Shane is now scoring much either, with a much higher price tag.
