Over what an actual PLAYER on the opposing team said? A lot of people think that way, like the lot of people on the opposing team?

My week off away from the GARM has been very pleasant...perhaps I'll extend it another week or more.

Yao's a liablity come playoff time, we're a better team without Yao in the lineup, evident from the Jazz series a few years back.

Ya it sucks that we had to start a thread about a dunk Yao had. Wish he would start dunking like that more often.

But to all the skeptics, if Shaq or D. Howard made 15/15 freethrows in a game or if they did Hakeem-like move (without traveling) while posting up, there would be a thread started in the NBA Dish.

Just be happy he dunked it with authority and we won the game.

I did watch the game and I was also harshly criticizing Yao on the board. Don't misunderstand me, I never said Yao played well. Yao has had pretty bad games but it doesn't surprise me his worse game was against the Celtics. I just wanted to give credit where it was due, the Celtics did make Lamar Odom and Pau disappear in the playoffs last season.

    Depending on the matchup.
If it's the versus the Jazz again, then he will be a liabillity on defense. Unfortunaetly for him, he didn't provide enough offense during the 07 playoffs to make up for that.
Versus teams that play their centers in the post,he'll be fine.

You mean the one last year? The one where we weren't even that competitive?

Unfortunately only things people remember is what you do in the most critical situations at the ends of games, in the 4th quarters of games and in the playoffs where real superstars prove that they are what a superstar is. Unfortunately for Yao and T-Mac they get hurt or end losing game 7's in the 1st rounds. That's where we are at right now so that is the reality as well as all the positive things you can say about Yao and T-Mac. Results are results, excuses are excuses and reality is definitely reality.

I understand that, and that is fine. I'm not saying that T-Mac and Yao don't have shortcomings, my post was just saying that it's ok to compliment them once in a while.

The series where in a game ONLY FOUR Rockets players even bothered to SCORE the entire game?

I know you're already impossible and this is all humorous. But the next year the same teams in the playoffs when the Rockets lost in 6, gonna tell us WITH Yao the Rockets woulda have lost more games and posssibly get swept?
