Can you blame him? The last time he gave up money to stay with a team with a chance for something BIG, it didn't exactly work out for him.
it would be interesting to see how coach Dunleavy manage the frontcourt with Zach, Camby & Kaman~ yet.. i dont think the chemistry would work tho....
Clips are Clips, inept, just like GWB. They're banking on Brand signing for a home-town discount. But the hard-working no-nonsence PF opted for the 76ers' offer, at market value. to compound this mistake, Clips is willing to pick up Zach's inflated contract, plus his check past insofar as being a cancer in the club house. effectively, Clips gave up Brand, Cat, Thomas to get Zach. what a deal! that's why the Clips are the Clips
give me a ****ing break. yeah, mobley never played hard except his contract year. which career were you watching?
Read what I said. I'm talking about his Clippers career after signing the contract. He was fine as a Rocket. In fact, I wanted them to sign him back after his stint with the Kings, where he still played with gusto and brought it every night (and was money from long range). But since signing the contract, Cat's been mostly on cruise control compared to before.
to be fair, i don't think it has anything to do with money (which he was right to go after, after being underpaid on his previous contract), it's just that clipperdom is pretty much where the will to live goes to die. it's hard to seem like you're giving your all in that atmosphere. plus, mobley is a 33 year old 2nd round pick at this point. he's clearly lost a step or two and is generally just showing the natural decline you would expect with aging. this isn't vince carter in his prime on cruise control or anything. in 2 more years, he'll have probably lost all the steps an undersized SG needs to survive in the nba and he'll be gone. i hope d'antoni lets him play and he gets to be in an uptempo, more fun system to play in.
i'm sorry, the way randolph is playing, i would have kept him up until the point that i really knew i could get lebron. guy like that always will have value, he's just too good of a scorer. i really thought he would be hurt in danton's system which has impressed me even more what he started in NY. Oh well
The trade is in limbo due to a physical concern for Mobley. http://www.nba.com/2008/news/features/11/24/112408_aldridge_tradefolo/index.html I never heard anything about Cat having a heart problem when he was here. Juwan Howard was the only one I remember with a heart problem.
^^^ wow, that is new thread worthy right there. i hope it works out for Cat and all teams involved...
