Woo hoo!

well, the atmosphere is obviously amplified....every play means that much more, and the later in the particular series, the better.

HOWEVER, a couple of friends and I went to catch a mavs-spurs playoff game last year, i guess it was, in san antonio, and i have several complaints. First of all, the seats we had were tiny, and it felt like you were practically sitting on your neighbor's lap you were so close together. Also, the spurs fans battle cry of "GO SPURS GO" isn't exactly the most creative out there.

All in all, better than regular season because of the gravity of the situation. the tix prices in san antonio were pretty good too for being 2nd rd playoff games. Have a great time, ZRB.

 

Well in Toronto, it was pretty interesting during the playoffs last year. As everyone knows, it was the first time the Raptors won playoff games and a series. During each game the ACC was incredibly loud, massive chants of "Let's go Rap-tors". Its very electric during the games... but the real unique experience here was the way we celebrated after the few Raptor wins. People were partying in the streets, horns honking, chants outside, it was just incredable. It was like we won the damn NBA Title after each game Best way to put it in perspective to answer your question: Playoffs take your "fan-hood" to another level and honestly you just become that much more obsessed, its like a drug and you can't just get enough.

 

The atmosphere is definately better. You will almost certainly get an arena full of the real fans - the ones who come out and will stand and cheer the entire game for their team. From what I recall, corporate presence is limited to the skyboxes for most playoff games. Plus, when your team is doing good, it makes taunting loudmouth fans of the opposing team all the much better.

Last year, I ended up going to Magic-Bucks, game 3, in Orlando. By far, it was the most intense and overall best game I've seen in person. But I must say - they're jipping you on ticket prices! I got a $10 ticket (same as reg. season) for that game....and in Orlando, there's not really any bad seats.

But enjoy - the $17 will be well worth it.

 

I went to the Spurs playoff game against the Trailblazers in the WCF in 99' . The game whereSean Elliot hit that game winner at the buzzer. It was horrible, I was so mad . The alamodome
crowd is usually load and obnoxious, but during the playoffs,especially the western finals, multiply the regular season noise by a 1000 .

I remember on the screens during warmups they would show the crowd coming into the building,and they showed this little kid wearing a Blazers jersey and everyone started booing and saying
some horrible stuff.

maybe the noise was really loud because there was like 35,000 people in attendance that day. Either way , the atmosphere is totally different in the playoffs than in the regular season.

 

I can't wait to be at the game when the Rockets win game 7 of the Western Conference Finals at Reliant Arena.

 

zrb...if you happen to get tickets for another game in the playoffs let me know, i might be interested in joining you if that's all right. since the last time i had the pleasure of experiencing a playoff game is when hakeem embaressed david robinson back in san antonio...ahhh good times..good times...

 

ZRB...my last 2 rockets games other than the 2 this year were the game in san antonio where he made d-rob lose his jock...ahhh great game, had my face painted and made signs...

and the year before when he got the mvp trophy while playing the jazz in the playoffs...one of the most memorable sporting moments in my life...goose bumbs came over me when hakeem asked the team to join him in the honor...ahhh good times...good times...
