I don't know how they're ever going to decide who that was a vote for. Didn't that voter ever take a standardized test in highschool? Fill in the bubble entirely with a #2 pencil, but don't draw outside the lines. He failed 3 different ways. He has subverted his own vote with his lazy bubble-filling.
Al Franken is such a tool. The guy probably put an X in it, thought better of it, and then attempted to fill it in. What do the rest of his votes look like?
I'm sorry, but with his lazy doodling, it is too hard to tell if he really intended to vote for the guy in the middle. I mean, if he's that bad at filling in a bubble, maybe he missed his intended bubble altogether. It makes you wonder if the voter was legally blind or perhaps mentally deranged. But, to give him some credit, maybe he intended not to vote for anyone, and what looks like an X followed by a mad squiggle is actually just a stray mark. In any case, it's pretty obvious this should be counted as a vote for Al Franken.
Yeah, I'm sure Al Franken personally challenged that ballot. I too would like to see the rest of the ballot. I'm sure they wouldn't be challenging it unless the rest of it is perfectly bubbled in.
No need to show any of Coleman's asinine ballot challenges, it would ruin basso's hard earned reputation on this BBS. http://minnesota.publicradio.org/features/2008/11/19_challenged_ballots/
Typical basso. 99% of the challenges to ballots from either side are nonsense. Whoever comes up short after the recount needs enough "challenged" ballots to allow them to continue legal action. They don't want to end up like Ted Stevens, who now trails by 3700 votes with only 2500 left to count.
Not obvious to me. Looks to me like he drew an "X" next to Coleman's name, then tried to scribble it out. Since it's not an obvious voter intent (which would have a simple "X" or a filled-in circle), seems to me either: 1. this vote should be tossed or 2. the voter should be contacted to revote or confirm intent. Since option 2 isn't (I believe) available due to voter privacy laws, we're stuck with option 1: toss it.
Franken Challenge these are freakin hilarious, I feel so good about my learning from the schoolhouse now that I have seen all of these. then I feel depressed that our education system is such a failure.
I like this voter's understanding of our government's checks and balances. It's important that the Lizard People own the White House, and they deserve consideration in Congress, but ultimately Senator Al Franken and the Democratic Party should be around to make sure they don't overreach. Is this a Fear & Loathing reference, or something else?
I don't even understand the purpose behind challenging this. It was either counted for no one or for Barkley. At best, it will be counted for no one. That doesn't even help Franken one bit. It will never be counted as a Franken vote, and it's certainly not currently counted as a Coleman vote, so what's the point? I understand the rest. As ridiculous as they are, at least it potentially benefits them. This one makes no sense.
