Fans are allowed to critique their team, no? Cheerleaders are not, but fans are. My GOD, I think my head is about to explode...
I don't think we are boring to watch. Of course it sucks when we can't shoot, rebound, or just are playing bad. But for the most part, I enjoy the ups and downs of watching the games. I only get bored towards the ends of blowouts.
TMac and Alston and bad shooters. Period. I don't know why both of them insist on shooting so often especially early in the shot clock. That just seems like bad decision making. If the offense is geared around dribble penetration and kick, then we would have spot up shooters. Even if it were a classic inside out game, we would have spot up shooters. TMac and Alston and *not* spot up shooters. In fact, no one on our starting lineup can really shoot the ball reliably from outside ....
I have zero problems with shots early in the shot clock...if they are clean decent looks. For the most part they are for those two. BUT...Rafer shouldn't be shooting those. -I'm ok with even with his sub-par performance thus far this season.
past 2-3 seasons i woke up in the middle of the night (I live in Poland, games here are broadcasted around 2-3 am) just to watch every rockets game live. I watched EVERY GAME that's like 164 games + Playoffs. now i don't give a **** unless it's big game such as vs LAL vs BOS vs NOH
What???? It's more exciting for you to watch Steve do nothing for 20 seconds and then either throw up some ugly fade-away or try some awful pass that ends up in the 10th row? THAT is better than THIS????
T-Mac is really starting to piss me off. The guy comes out and says he's going to have to play against Dallas because Yao is hurt and then he comes out and lays a giant egg--no intensity, no commitment to the offense. Maybe he needs to sit down for a couple of weeks and watch the rest of the team gel.
Last night was the only boring game this year. The Rockets games aren't boring. Especially when we they are winning.
Critiquing is one thing, constant b****ing and whining in another. I have never heard so many debbie downers in my life. We need to make a group outting to a pharmacy and get some happy pills.
I hear you and I usually agree with your sentiment. But after last night's game, I'm joining the Debbie Downers. That was just horrible. No reason in the world we should be 5-5 against everyone in the league besides Oklahoma City this year.
when we average 0 fast break pts a game of course we are going to boring to watch. Here are some stats according to nba.com Of all the teams with a winning record we are last in points scored/game, last in field-goal%, and second to last in assists/game. I haven't found the fastbreak stats but i am pretty sure we are in the bottom half of the league especially w/o yao we get 2 fast break pts against a mediocre defensive team like the mavs. Trust me running will cure everything. i am not saying we have to avg 30 fast break pts but running early will create mismatches, thus creating a continuity for our offense. here are some solutions. -after a rebound never ever give the ball to mcgrady, he always walks the ball upcourt. Give it to alston, brooks or artest -Always find Scola in transition, the guy is always running and is our best off the ball runner. -In the halfcourt Mcgrady should only touch the ball after running through downscreens where he has the options to dribble, shoot or pass. never pass the ball to him above the 3pt line were he call yao for a pick and get doubled wasting valuable shot clock time. -always find artest cutting, the guy has the strength to bump his defender and score. going one on one is not his thing. Also what's happened to landry instead of pick and rolling he is pick and poping. hope is not the next tim thomas. I hope brooks can learn to finish like tony parker. If you found this a diffcult read then the basic premise is The less mcgrady has the ball(except in scoring positions) the better the offense will be.
