I love him as a commentator. He's just soo frickin funny. Him making fun of himself being fired got me crackin up pretty hard. What a great sense of humor. I really dont know why I didn't see this side of him as a head coach. He always looked very dull and kinda pissed off during interviews.

And I especially love it when he commentates for the Rockets, due to the fact that he has coached us before and knows our players. Hes got a deeper understanding for this team and I think that gives him a higher respect of what he has to say, especially towards our Rockets fans! <3 JVG!

No it's not just you, he is probably the only person in the world that thinks T-mac is better than Kobe.

JVG is definitely really entertaining. I'd even watch golf if he was commentating.

He is. Why, because he is SMART and sometimes even funny. I don't know why, but I wanted him to get fired and I used to hate him, but right now I pretty much like him.

One thing I love about him is that he is not a Charles Barkley type of guy. He GOT FIRED from the team. He should be frustrated, right? But now, he doesn't hate on Rockets AT ALL. What's more he likes them. That is kinda great.

I want him back. :( No matter how predictable our offense is with him, things just seemed more fluid back then. We had more of an identity. Now we just seem lost.

We all expected RA to fix our offense, but its been an entire season, a playoff series, an offseason, training camp, 12 games into the season, and still nothing. We've lost a little of our defensive edge and gained nothing on offense.

I was wrong about RA it seems.

No way he thinks that. JVG is a basketball mastermind, don't discredit him like that. He's merely standing up for his former player (unlike George Karl, I might add).

No, JVG was just stubborn. Aaron Brooks wouldnt of been playing and probably neither would Landry.

JVG as a coach was a completely different personality from JVG the commentator.

I was joking I know he doesn't thinks that. I was just exaggerating his love for T-mac.

JVG is an awesome commentator. He usually calls plays exactly before they happen and he has a great sense of humor.

wow, what did Gerald Green do tonight?? JVG is a great commentator but coach, Ehhh. Yes, hes a defensive mastermind but just too stubborn with no tolerance to develop young talent.

It's kinda funny. The 2nd year after JVG left, the Rockets now has the perfect JVG roster-- one probably is a more natural fit for JVG than Adelman.

On the other hand, I have faith that Adelman will make it work by the middle of the season-- he did last year after a slow start.

JVG said during the game he want the players to wear shock collars so he could shock them after they make a mistake.

Oh, guess my satire meter was off... But my main sentiment stands: JVG never throws his players under the bus, and that's how a coach wins the players' respect.
