Good that I don't have NBA TV, watching this series always will make Rockets' fans sad. Especially knowing that it was all on refs who actually won the series for Dallas.

BTW, I'm going to the game tonight. Does anyone have ideas on what would be a good slogan for a poster board?

They showed the same game last time they played on TNT, plus Hakeem's (Akeem) first game.

Oh man, hopes were so high after that game. Looking at that roster, compared to what we have now, WOW. Only 4 players from that Roster are currently active NBA players today. Yao, T-Mac and hopefully Deke are the only players left from that team that are on todays team.

I said the same thing to myself. Every year our expectations got higher to win a championship, but now that I look back, the 04-05 team sucked. Scott Padgett and David Wesley? Stromile Swift the next year? Those are not pieces. Battier, Artest, and Brooks are pieces.

damn it, I MISS BOBBY SURA

I know we were favored two Utah series ago, but I really thought that year against the Mavs was our year. I felt it in my gut, so that series was heartbreaker for me. I figured it would go to 7 games and that the winner would go to the finals.

I just thought that team was put together well. I hope I can feel that way again later on this season.

lmao After that last second shot by McGrady, Mark Cuban's reaction is just price less.

if we have sura + brooks instead of rafer and brooks, imagine how good we will be.

i really miss him. sura added something to that team that you just can't describe. he also motivated tracy to play at another level.

That series just makes me sorely miss Bob Sura.

I was always a big fan of him, and to finally see him in a Rockets jersey was great.

The 10/5/5 he provided really helped the squad that season. It's a shame his effort and hustle went to waste with that whack 1st round exit in the playoffs.

I honestly could not watch that series again, seeing Yao getting hacked on the defensive side and getting no calls, while they called the littlest ticky tack fouls on him at the offensive side.

I don't know how we lost this series - what a team we had. One of the most exciting eras for the Houston Rockets.

Michael Finley was allowed to be standing out of bounds while stealing the basketball. Hell, they even sent him to the line for his out of bounds efforts - 4 point swing.

case closed. we win that game, the series is over.

however, we were at some fault. both tracy and yao missed crucial fts in game 5 that would have given us a 3-2 lead going back to game 6, which we won.

It may sound funny but I think we win that series if Juwan Howard didn't get hurt.

Doesn't sound too funny. I think a lot of us here felt that way. Injuries have always haunted us since the Yao/Mcgrady era.

Yeah that is the unfortunate thing about this era of Yao/McGrady. It isn't like it is controllable. Man if T-mac had the talent like he has this year and was like he was in that Mavs/Rockets series, this team would be scary.
