    A first for me tonight:

I actually threw a beer can at my TV because we played so horribly against one of the worst teams in the league. I guess no one really cares anymore about wins and losses (fans or players).

    On a side note:
Terrance Morris really sucks!! I mean this guy flat out blows on the offensive end of the court. Can we knickname him "Brick" Morris please??

this was a big loss for the rockets, they are really stepping up to the plate when the balls count

Pretty bad when the Grizzs backcourt (J-will and rookie Battier) put up better stats than our Franchise and Cat.

Oh well maybe the 3rd time is the charm for the lottery

Yeah, maybe, but this is so talented that they may wind up with another lottery player that won't play hardly because he has such a great veteran in front of him.

We are losing to the Grizz because:

    6) We play poor transition D and Jason Williams salivates as soon as his hands touch the ball on the outlet pass.

    5) The Rockets as a team defend the pick and roll poorly (again JWill salivates).

    4) Without Kelvin Cato (and sometimes with), the Rockets have little interior shot blocking presence. (Please don't remind me EG had 5 or I'll be forced to mention that Stromille Swift had 3 and Gasol 2 or that the Grizz had 50 points in the paint compared to 24 for the Rocks :) ).

    3) Other than JWill during his flamboyant escapades, most of the Grizz (Battier and Gasol for sure) are fundamentally sound players.

    2) The Rockets can't/don't/won't (use the verb of your choice) fastbreak for easy transition baskets.

And the number 1 reason the Grizz won - they had 29 assists to the Rockets 14. ***

*** (Please do not tell me that the Rockets would have more assists if the players had a higher shooting %. Both the Grizz and the Rockets took 90 shoots. The Grizz made only 6 more shots. If the Rockets had made 6 more FG's and had an assist on each of them, the would still have had only 20 assists for the game).

I agree, except I'd basically reverse the order. As bad as our offense is, it isn't as bad as our defense.

Also, I would add that no one on our team is a good one on one defender. I know NBA players can't be stopped one on one, but we should be able to offer SOME resistance.

On a side note: ironically, the only player on the team shooting worse than Brick Morris is 3pt Brick Griffin.

I seriously want to believe that the Rockets are losing on purpose, because it would be easier for me to handle that, than handle the fact that they actually played as hard as they could and still lost to the Grizzlies. I am depressed....even though this season is over, if no one steps up there game and seriously starts to lead this team, I don't see the Rockets in the playoffs next year.....
