Put me down for Dwayne Wade. This guy is all heart and doesn't quit. I think with Yao and our 3 headed monster at power foward we don't need another post player to clog in the paint. D-Wade is an incredible competitor and gets is not afraid to take control in crunch time.

Tailoring a team with players simply to mesh with Yao's shortcomings is about the dumbest thing the Rockets could do long-term.

Wow. That list is almost scary. Its like the entire league will be written in 2010.

I think you took too much from my statement. I was focusing on what Bosh can do, not what Yao cant.

See if Yao and T-Mac want to sign cheap and go for Wade all out. That dude is a straight up baller and there's no way he's not going to bail on Miami.

And I thought LeBron was going to a major market? LA or NY. He's all about the money and his endorsements would double or something if he went to a major market like that...

The max contract will be petty change to those endorsements...

EDIT: Forgot Yao and T-Mac expire a year apart. Sign T-Mac cheap if not let him go. Try to go for Wade by all means necessary (maybe Les can get some tips from Cuban on insider trading to make more money to pay any luxury tax or etc.) then try to sign Yao cheap the next season...

Is it possible to keep McGrady and Artest while also going for another player? Even if we signed them cheap I don't think we could.

LeBron thinking about free agency before 2010

I know everyone keeps bringing up the money thing, but I really believe Lebron when he says his top priority is championships. Whoever has the best cast in 2010 will get him. He is a fierce competitor, and to reach that rarefied air of Mr. Air himself he will need to win some championships. I have no doubt he can be the centerpiece of a three-peat with a solid team.

As a Cavs fan I will be really sad to see him go (he's the best pro athlete in Cleveland since Jim Brown, which is sad in a way), but I don't blame him. I can only pray the Cavs pull off a miracle and get some guys in place to be in the running in 2010.

Amare is better than Bosh but he is a liability on defense.

    Yao has a player option.

Man...so MANY great options in 2010, I can't wait to see what Morey has up his sleeve.

If he were not interested in the money, he could go to the Lakers for whatever they had to offer him (maybe the mid level exception?). That would almost certainly get him some championships. And when you combine the increased reputation from winning championships with the extra endorsement opportunities from being in L.A., he could probably end up making almost as much as if he signed somewhere like Cleveland, and they continued to lose.

nash/dirk anyone? They could be tempted to sign a vet min ala Karl Malone/Gary Payton, just to be with a good team.

I cant help but think that a team of tmac, artest and yao seems like a pretty good team for vets.

All for all the talks about the lebrons, wades and boshs in the world, i rather rox steal 2 players of the 06 picks. And still having enough to bring a veteran, going down the hill all star.

    Let Yao and Mac expire.
    Sign Lebron/Wade/Amare/Bosh
    Resign Yao using bird years
    Sign Tracy cheap.

    2010-2011 NBA champions.

D.Wade, by a landslide. Won't happen, but I would dump Yao and TMac's contracts as soon as possible. Way too injury prone. I don't think either can last an 82 game season.
