I'll merge this with the injury discussion thread later, but didn't want the video to get lost for those who didn't see the injuries happen.

All three are injury-prone. I don't know why so many people haven't noticed that Artest has missed a ton of games with injury the last 2 or 3 years.

Chronicle has Yao and Tmac fine and no word on Artest but his didn't look all that bad.

I wouldn't bank on what the Chronicle says even though it's the best available info.

There is only so much they can find out in that short period. Sometimes the player doesn't even know what's wrong until the next day, or longer.

i saw yao jumping next to the bench at the end of the game, and almost went back to the game.

    so he is definately fine.

t-mac with buddha smile, should be ok.

i am really woried about ron though.

Yes but he was the only one who really needed to go to the locker room early. And there was only like 25 seconds left too. Maybe it was something bad. Hopefully not, though.

It might be a high ankle sprain for Ron. Yao injured the foot he had surgery on. MRI is needed IMO. McGrady's hyperextension looked the least worst of the 3.
Woe is us. Let's hope that the medical reports aren't that bad but we have to be prepared for the worst.

There are statistics to support what you just wrote but sometimes you need to throw stats out the window.

Artest clearly has the sturdiest build of the three. He doesn't have chronic back issues and isn't 7'6, 300+ lbs.

Without being sure, I would definitely say that Artest has happened to get injured in consecutive seasons as opposed to being injury prone. He also plays a much more aggressive style than Tracy or Yao. He is relentless on both ends of the court and has the conditioning to play that way. Yao works hard but he burns out quickly. Tracy takes plays off, for whatever reason: injuries, laziness, etc...

I definitely agree that Yao and T-Mac are injury prone, for different reasons.

Thanks for the video, Clutch. I really wanted to see how it all went down. From what DD says Yao and T Mac are OK. I really hope Ron is too.

Sit all three out in the next game. Losing to Dallas or Spurs makes no difference.

What worries me about all three is that with Yao and T-Mac, nothing happened to them. Tracy just planted and Yao just landed. Yao puts up a hook and he's running back with a serious pain grimace because of the foot he's had problems with? I'd like to hear more explanation than, "He's fine".

On the other hand, Artest actually collided and was in obvious pain. I was worried he sprained the ankle.

    Agreed.

Yao and T-Mac got non-contact injuries. What happened to Artest could happen to anybody, injury-prone or not, that trips over those camera folk.

    Yao said he's ok

Tracy, Yao and Ron all left the game with pain, but update news reports yao said his ankle is ok, won't affect following games. But there's still no any update of Ron and Tracy's, we all hope they'll be fine, especially tmac. Don't worry about Ron, he's like as tough as the rock.

Artest, because of the way he plays, is more likely to get injured in that way. I'm not saying he's as fragile as Yao and Tracy. But there's still a good likelihood he'll miss a number of games this season.

    That's not what it says:

    [rquoter]
"My knee gave out on me," McGrady said. "They told me if I was to go back in, and they saw me limping they were going to take me back out. I was like, "Well, that’s what you’re pretty much going to see.’ My knee is feeling right. I hate to do this, but I’m going to get an MRI tomorrow and until, further notice, I’m going to have to shut it down.

"Tonight, I went back to square one, like before even surgery. I’ve always been feeling it, but tonight, before that particular play, I came up and it just gave out on me. I’ve been trying to work my way into playing shape and strengthen my leg. I’ve never been 100 percent. I’ve just been hoping playing on it would put me over the edge and I won’t have any more pain, but it hasn’t worked."

MRI is needed on Yao. That was a normal hook shoot and he was in obvious pain.. Wel all remember how the chronicle reported last year for two straight weeks that yao was bothered by a slight twist of the ankle, only to find out later hairline fracture. Yao has basically no verticle so far this season, something is not right.
