Nothing to be worried about. It's all part of the Rocket's new rotation. As soon as Battier rotates out of injury, we're going to have someone rotate in. Its all part of the plan.
I have rolled my ankle before and it hurt like a muuuuuuuuuug, but then after awhile it felt a lot better. Hopefully thats whats gonna happen to Artest.
This thread is too reactionary. Let's at least wait till medical reports confirm these injuries to panic.
I rolled mine playing basketball in June and couldn't play until earlier this month. Even now, I'm not 100%. I still have pain, less than usual range of motion, and clicking/popping at times. Never underestimate a sprained ankle. It can be worse than a break. Spoiler Spoiler
If it was a really bad sprain he wouldn't have been able to walk over to the bench. All three of them will be fine.
Like everything else in life, there are varying degrees. From what I saw on television and my experience w/ rolled ankles on the court, I am just saying it did not look bad. I once rolled my right ankle outward about 50 degrees or so and the next morning it was the size of a grapefruit. Yet, I was back on the court in two weeks w/ a little pain and in 3 weeks it was all good. Now Yao and Artest's injuries didn't seem as bad as that so from the looks of it, it doesn't seem like they will miss any time. Let's not calm the world is coming to an end or the season is over after every lose or rolled ankle. Patience, something many people on this forum don't seem to have.
i roll my ankle a few times playing ball. i can play afterward after walking it off if i have to. but it'll swell and keep me out for a week or so until the swelling goes down. but unless you hear something pop or you just can't walk right away without help, then it's usually not that serious.
yeah, I've rolled each of my ankle twice, and I remember one sprain, my foot was swollen almost all the way up to my chin and swollen to my toes, with my foot all purple.
Usually not. But I've rolled it a couple of times really badly and been out for 5 months (the injury in the picture) and another time for 2 months. I'm just saying, it could be very bad. Of course, I hope it's not.
I rolled my ankle in a basketball game over the summer. I was in a cast for 5 weeks, and its still not feeling good now. For 3 weeks in that cast I had to use a cane to walk. So I beg to differ.
Mine was actually worst than that and I just said screw it and went back on the court within 2 weeks. But Artest didn't seem to roll it like that. That only happens if you land on it and twist it outwards and the liagment gets pulled. Artest appeared to roll it inwards which usually doesn't mean its to bad.
it looked like something in his shin though? or is that what he was holding to just grab on to something. Hope its nothing major. man our rockets should wear hardcore protective gear like dwade did last year
