I think we, as diehard fans are disappointed to what we are seeing right now... I know that our team is winning games, but they are losing games too that they are supposed to win... The games against the Spurs was supposed to be a sure win after leading 14 pts w/ 4+ mins left same thing against Portland or maybe against the Lakers (leading by 14? until the collapse)... But they let that wins get a way... Hey, it still early in the season and we don't have to panic or anything like that, but that loss will sure make a huge difference come playoff time either for playoff spot or homecourt advantage. Another thing that I cannot blame the fans for being too harsh is we have really high expectations with the Rockets... We haven't seen the consistency yet and the killer instinct to bag the close games... I think we are all disappointed to the way they played... Fans will always be a fans... They will voice their opinion... Nothing against the team, just a concern
Sorry but if this team was playing like this come playoff time then we would need to have a fire sale on some coaches and players but it's early and honestly YAO is not the key to this team T-MAC is and it has been proven!!!
You have to admit, this board is ridiculously negative compared to other boards. We constantly attack our own players and our own coaches for failing to perform up to ridiculously high expectations. Other forums defend their players to the ends of the Earth. Just try to talk trash about Kobe on a Laker forum. They'll flail you alive. But here, we constantly talk about TRADING our superstars everytime they have a bad game.
As I've said many times, there's constructive criticism and then theres b****ING. I don't mind constructive criticism at all. After a Spurs game comments like "we can't let up in the 4th to a team like the Spurs that could shoot their way back into a game" or "Tmac, Yao and Artest really need to get their act together as they are all shooting under their career averages" are fine. But then there are the people that go "OMG TRADE TMAC, TRADE ALSTON, FIRE THE COACH WE ARE DOOMEED!!!!!!1111oneoneoen", and I'm sorry but there is just no place for that. It accomplishes nothing. And I'm going to react negatively toward the person that says it, as I've brought up in that "All you fairweather fans, GTFO" thread I made.
It is more than chemistry; it is flat out talent! Boston's big three is much better than our brick three.
Yeah, it seems like all the other NBA team fans support most, if not, all of their team players and will defend them beyond belief, which I do for the Rockets. I love this team. I just had an argument with an adamant Bucks fan. He would make 90% of the "fans" on this board look silly.
yeah right, how much have you read their forums? Whenever they talk outside of the "family" they do defend their players but when on their own forums they attack them without mercy.
But its how people go about it that piss people off. It seems like after every game where Yao/Tmac/Artest do bad, there is a thread crying to trade them. If there was some logic to the trade threads it would be fine, but they always end up being "OMG GUYS, TMAC HAZ HAD TWO BAD GAMES, HE MUST BE TRADED FOR <insert player on other team that had a career game that day>".
totally true.. I admit im very critical, but to the outsiders, I defend the rockets so much. I mean, we are a legitimate team who can go very far. But we still are missing some pieces. I just think that when certain fans sugarcoat everything and say that we will win the championship the second battier comes back, or when T-Mac is 100%, that's a load of bollocks. We need to make some more moves to get to that point.
