agree if t-mac is hurt don't try to run the team cuz we have to more players that can do that artest and yao, passing the ball don't kill anybody the game vs no i see that in like three plays t-mac creating space and pasing the ball that what he has to do
dwight howard is a very good player and right now he has played better than yao, but he's not the best big man. that has belong to either bosh or amare this year.
Nothing is gelling, man. Everybody on this team from coach to players should take blame. But the simple idea of giving Yao ball sounds plain and better than many other options.
we should have given yao the ball more in the spurs game b/c he had great positions a lot of time in the 2nd half. i was frustrated that he didn't get more than 9 shots. but you don't just give yao the ball just to give him the ball. he's a poor passer/playmaker so you don't just pass it to him all the time. if he has single coverage in the low post, players should ALWAYS try to look for him first and foremost. if he's not, don't even bother. he is not great at handling double teams/fronting defenses that it's pointless (you'll either waste time or get a TO). but the past few teams have single covered him so i would like for yao to get more touches yes. brooks is a very poor passer to yao (this is his weakness right now - passing the ball). with single coverage, yao should get at least 17-18 shots.
we need to win first,there was nobody guarding Yao. A star should take team first,not himself,that called selfish
I'm not taking up for Howard, but you left out the 5 blks which probably erased 10 pts and they won by 6. Just saying.
I'd like to see Yao get at least 20 FGA per game or close to that. So far, Yao is only getting 12.9 FGA per. The one year when he did get close to 20FGA (17.1), he had his best year statistically(25/9/2). He had his best years under JVG because he kept feeding him the ball down low.
IMHO ,Steve Nash is the best choice for current rockets team although he is 35 yrs old ,our team just lack of his organizing skills who had 2 times MVP experience . The Sun's new coach Porter who is apt to defense basketball so Nash may not suit for that kind of system. Maybe its time for Nash to leave since he still long for one ring of NBA final. So where is the destination for him? yeah its rockets. Meanwhile the rockets got very competitive painted area offense players Yao and Scola who just need selflessly"chipout", dont worry the passing skills of Steve ,also we have Atest and Battier at outside line so the only player to trade Nash is our superstar T-Mac, its a win-win solution for helping both two teams to achieve their champion dream, so the NBA final may goes to one of them Celtics Lakers Suns Rockets
Dwight Howard this year is averaging a CAREER HIGH of 12.6 attempts per game. So Howard is averaging 5 more points a game with the same number of attempts that Yao gets... I'm for getting Yao the ball when he has position down low (not up high) but he's gotta do MUCH better with the shots he does get.
What are you? Yao paTROLLING? If you have any balls, try picking on Tmac and Artest since they are also pretty disappointing so far.
I was going to bring this up, but then we would have to hear about how all howard can do is dunk and cant shoot ft's.
