Hard foul, this is why big guys are allowed to get pushed and shoved in the lane. On the other hand, when they fouled some one like that, it should also be taken into consideration that they're just big and stuff happens. Call a foul, maybe a flagarant 1, but don't toss the guy.

Shaq isn't as quick or explosive as he used to be.

    But he's still freakin huge.

I seriously hate shaq. I think he is marginally r****ded and full of himself.

That was semi-going for the ball and the guys face doesn't even look like it hit the floor.

No way should he get suspended by the league. If I was Terry Porter I would suspend him for pushing my hand away though.

I think he tried to play the ball, failed, then went for the arm so yeah flagrant.

He went with his left, and finished with his right. A two handed block when he comes in leaning left? Toss him, dont suspend him. Fine him an extra 35k to avenge the Rockets scrum.

The commentator really put it in perspective for me when he said, "everything has gone wrong for the Suns this year, as far as things happening."

The double standard idea is stupid. If you hit two different players of different sizes with the same force and the smaller one goes flying to the floor face first and the bigger dude doesn't even budge, of course it's going to be a hard foul on the smaller guy. I'm sure the actual hit on stuckey wasn't that hard, it's just that shaq is a rock and when a little rock hits a big rock, the little rock is gonna get smashed. If that was matt barnes, stuckey wouldn't have fell so hard.

Point is, just because your bigger, it doesn't give you the right to hit someone just because you get hit like that all the time. shaq's such a strong guy, even flagrant fouls won't bruise him.

ya that wasnt an ejection flagrant. shaq hit sutckey then swung his arms down. looks like he swings his arms down WHEN he hits stuckey from the first view. just cuz stuckey landed badly shaq got ejected.

stuckey wasnt actin too but still thats just unfurtunate that he got hurt that badly by a rediculously big man. shaq better not get suspended

replying to someone's post in pg1

-cant compare it back around because stuckey trying to foul shaq hard would just bounce back at himself =)

i think it's not a cheap foul..i mean, just like what the commentator said, he's huge, hes a big ass mofo...and with stuckey come running at the basket, it's gonna happen...its like physics...stuckey is a less mass coming at full force, shaq is a bigger mass coming in at regular force, when 2 collide, boom, look at stuckey.

To give you an idea of the physics, remember what Stackhouse did to Shaq in the Finals in 2006. When Shaq did that to Stuckey, ouch. NBA players are aware of how vulnerable players are when both feet are off the ground.

Definitely not a F2. Bad call on that one. He clearly went for the ball. If Stuckey got right back up it wouldn't even be a F1.

From what I saw, Shaq made a full-bodied, arms extended lunge for the ball and actually made contact with the ball. In the process, his left arm hooked Stuckey's head, flipping him in mid air. He hit the floor fairly flat, but that caused his head to snap back when his face hit the floor.

Did Shaq intend to do all that? NO! But the fact remains that he did. IMO he should get a 1 game suspension.

Come on, that was on purpose.

NBA players know their bodies and what will happen....Shaq did not need to extend both arms out, he did it on purpose.

He should be suspended, that kind of play can hurt someone.

He was going for the ball -- the guy should have stopped going for the dunk once he made contact with Shaq's hands/ arm.

Wow, that was a bad one.

Thats probably one of the worse game situation fouls Ive ever seen.

I wish yao would learn to to give a hard foul instead of and 1.

I agree with this. At least just once to make a point. I think Shaq was going for the ball and that's the type of foul you need to make to make players fear coming in the lane.

It was a hard foul, but it does look like Shaq was going after the ball.

It was basically a "no easy bucket" good hard foul type. But a hard clean foul from Shaq is still a foul like no other, hence the ref's decision when seeing Stuckey on the ground for so long.
