Which lineup would you want for a 3pt Gauntlet counter? Say if the opposition were doubling Yao and he is being taken advantage of, which lineup would you want out there to punish them for abusing Yao?

    Brooks
    Barry
    Battier
    Artest
    Yao

I don't know why you would have a lineup with TMac instead of Artest if you wanted to hit 3-pointers.

    Alston
    Barry
    Battier
    Scola/Hayes/Landry
    Yao

None of this small PF BS. Come on.

I thought we were talking about people who can shoot threes when the double comes on Yao. I'd take Artest as a three point shooter over Scola/Hayes/Landry. I'd take Artest on the block if the double comes on Yao too.

This is my pick. It wasn't up there as a choice. You definitely don't want T-Mac as a spot up shooting option if you got better.

instead of throwing all of our shooters out there, why don't we throw in people who can cut, that used to work so well for us, yao got alot of assists that way, head is known to be one of the better cutters on the team, but can't finish that well, i think this could get tmac alot of easy points once he is a little healthier and can get more lift, wafer, being very athletic would be ideal for this situation as well, not to mention he can also shoot. teams will almost always double yao at some point, some teams will do it more than others, those that do it more than others we would need to hold of on rafer, the problem is that he gets us into our offense better than anyone else on the team.

Why does everyone think you have to shoot 3's off double teams? Dribble drives work very, very well. Last night, the hornets didn't double yao 1 time. The opponets wants a 23'9 shot instead of a 17 ft er. The most effective plays when a team is running at shooters is the drbble drive breakdown. Now it collapses you entire defense.

Well, it's not like when Yao gets doubled our four other guys all run out to the 3-pt line. When you factor in spacing you need a solid rebound PF to clean up the glass as well as present the mid range threat.

This suggested line up "works" since Battier and Barry are both lethal from long range.

    I'd have a lineup of:

    Barry,McGrady,Battier,Artest,Yao.

We can't let them run wild on defense on us. This would probably even be our ultimate lineup in most cases.
