Morey said in the 1560 interview that they now expect McGrady to be up and down, all year. It's just something we're going to have to deal with. The key is getting Yao to be consistently effective. If T-Mac is feeling good physically, then use him. Otherwise, sit him out or reduce his playing time significantly.
lol haha its funny how the majority voted for "Ask a clutch fan to slap his face before every game " this is funny (i voted for the same thing btw )
he's moving well. it's just mental right now, he's still lacking confidence in that knee (the yahoo article talks about his lack of confidence right now with that knee). if he's playing, suck it up and penetrate when his J sucks. it's really frustrating watching him clank Js after Js. i'm not like these guys that should trade him just like that. i'm willing to give him the playoffs to prove his worth. if he performs in the playoffs, then keep him till 2010. if not, then he's done. but we'll see.
Agreed. Let's see if he can heal up and get fired up enough be productive by the end of the year. If he can't deliver, then his place is not with this team.
It's early but I'm already losing patenice with Tracy. I picked a Clutch fan to slap him the face, but I think if Ron gave him one then let him off his b**** chain, that would work better. "Man Up Tracy! Man up!" Is Tracy making a trade look better? At this rate Steve might be on the floor before he does.
the thing is, people who want tmac traded, this is a great time to celebrate. but i'm sorry. we brought tracy here for the playoffs, not dominate the 9th game of the season. until he proves this is how he'll play in the playoffs, we're NOT going to trade him.
I may have worded it wrong, but I agree with this statement. Interestingly, you and I both know he can and does deliver in the playoffs. His playoff numbers don't lie. ....You hear that? A bunch of "0-7"s being typed out into the reply box. The TEAMS Tmac has been with in the playoffs are 0-7. Last year it was no Yao and hardly Rafer. The year before, Utah was admittedly better, and exploited Yao left and right. It goes on. Tmac is not without fault, but that 0-7 stat makes it too easy to point fingers and forget that basketball is a team sport. I'll say it again, the healthy Rockets team late last season was the best Rockets team we've had since Tmac's arrival. The best scenario for this year is if we go into the playoffs with a complete, healthy team. Yet, we do not know if we are capable of that. Regardless, I believe that trades are to be made if we do not deliver in the playoffs this year, healthy or not, because the pieces have not been working. If some players can't stay healthy, we need to trade for some that can.
agreed. Wait, he has already dominated regular season and what are the results? 0-7 in the 1st series. T-Mac ia a playoffs guy, Houston is a playoff team. We can win 82 in a season, but it all still comes down to the playoffs.
Spin it anyway you want, but that 0-7 stat tells you everything you need to know about Tracy. The guy is just unwilling to do what it takes to win. If blowing playoff leads, receiving 40 point whippings in deciding games, and being called out by the media isn't enough to shame him into "manning up," it's pretty clear that nothing will.
Great thread. Sorely needed in times like these I'm torn between "Ask a girl promise him free sex after every game" and "Ask Adelman worship him every day". I shall vote for both. I hope this thread reaches Tracy in time.
On a side note, I'd really really like it if our threads magically reached their intended players. I'd love to see the look on McGrady's face when the entire fanbase jumps on his case for dogging it every game of his career in a Rockets uniform. Something to make them accountable and let them know they're wasting the fans ticket and concession money. And in general, I wish our threads would reach their intended players. We could be so useful. We could tell Adelman his coaching style blows with our team and we could tell Reefer to never ever shoot the ball.
