Given how fickle Houston fans have become, it would almost be fitting if all three went down with career ending injuries tomorrow night. One big glorious car crash on the court. Yeah, I said it. I'm sick and tired of it all. It'll be glorious. A mangled heap of all-stars and max contracts lying forever crippled on the hardwood. Then we could rally together and call them out for being such fairies. Get up big three. Nah, let them stay down. Chuck Wagon would've shaken it off though. We'll be better off without them! They're all washed up and overrated by everyone here anyways right? Glorified journey men masquerading as ALL NBA TALENTS. In their prime? Over the hill! Crossing my fingers they turn on eachother tomorrow and it'll be double microfracture surgeries for everyone. My rant right there was complete crap, and so are our attitudes lately. We act like we deserved a championship before putting in any work or learning the most meaningful lessons. We didn't lose tonight because the big three don't work well together. Hell, we never even showed up to San Antonio, and all teams in this league are guilty of doing the same coddamn thing every single year. Boston lost to freaking Indiana for crissake! Marquis Daniels whooped their butts, but the world did not end. They woke up the next morning, acknowledged the mistake, and worked harder. Meanwhile we lose to an equally pitiful Spurs team and we're prepared to send the lamborghini to the scrap heap, before ever taking her out on the highway? Screw that! I'd take a loss like this over a blowout win any day of the week. You take more from it. You get a sick feeling. You get frustrated. You get ****ing pissed off, and then you ****ing do something about it. I know everyone here felt as upset with this loss as I did, but this is exactly what this team needs. I guarantee everyone here that New Orleans is in for an absolute dog fight tomorrow night. Rafers suspension won't matter. We have the talent. The sheer will and determination are there despite popular belief. Our problem, and we've had it for years now, is that we feel we're better than we are at times. It was arrogance and it burned us. No team can win in this league if they fail to take their opponent seriously. We got high on ourselves after handling business in PHX and assumed we could coast past a champion. It happens. It's not Adelman, or T-Mac, or even Rafer's absence. We learned a valbuable lesson early on, and it will serve us well going forward. Tomorrow's game will be an absolute slug fest. Total blood bath! Win or Lose, that too will make us better if we respond accordingly. The path to success is littered with a trail of failure. What matters is how you respond. Tomorrow we find out. Houston's big three are done...playing around.
I love your enthusiasm, but face it, if Tracy wasn't shamed into taking his game to the next level after blowing series leads and getting 40 point whippings in the playoffs, it's extremely unlikely that this is going to be the catalyst for some kind of Rocky-esque soul-searching.
We need to fix our problems NOW. I dont want to wait until the end of the season to file our complaints. I dont care if its 9 games into the season. The problem is Tmac is not his old self and if you dont see it, you are BLIND. I really wanted to see if he would change his style of play this season, but it has not change one bit. Dont tell me he is injured. Once he heals up, he will be the SAME player shooting jumpers from the outside. He did it last season, and he will do it this season. Its doesnt change anything at all. We need to FIX IT NOW.
Most peoples attitudes are crap because that is how the Rockets are playing right now. You can't expect people to be positive and happy after the losses this team has suffered so far this year. Especially the loss tonight. This group of guys have never been out the 1st Round so rightfully so fans will get upset. A lot of us are just simply worried and rightfully so. I don't know any elite team that would lose to San Antonio tonight without two of their best players after having a 14 point lead in the 4th quarter.
its all over. everything is over. yao is over. tmac is over. ron is over. everythigns dead. we are teh crappest team i nthe world and even thought its been 8 games we suck more than everyoen in the worl. even the D-League. my god people, refrain from posting stuff like this minutes after a loss. Yeh it sucks that we lost, but listen to yourselves. Seriously, if and when the rockets start winning games, people are gonna look back at their posts and say,' wot the hell was i thinking.'
The last time I checked it was still November. Maybe the loss will make people realise how important Alston is to the team.
Next time read the post. I'm saying we aren't close to done. I don't feel T-Mac is either. You call me blind. I call it faith. This team will show you all, and you'll be back to your homerism.
Probably look back and say how did the Rockets blow a 14 pt. 4th qt lead to the Spurs with Parker and Manu.
Yao and Tmac both came back from a surgery. Inconsistency is normal. They will be fine after 15 games!
See this is what I don't get AntiSonic. If you do not like Tracy, that's OK because he has his shortcomings. But you're acting like the last 3 playoff series were his fault...Yao was on that team too. I don't even mind Tracy being traded if it makes the team better, I mean I like him the most, but that doesn't matter. What makes you think we can bring in someone that will cover both Tracy AND Yao's shortcomings? How will that person or those persons cover Head's dissapearance? Or Battier's? Or Hayes lack of offense? Or Artest stagnating the offense (because he does as well)? It has to be a pretty special player to do all of that. If you don't think that we'll still be lacking after trading T-Mac then you're just letting your disgust in Tracy's play blind you. The Detroit trade is the only one that makes sense that is realistic (could have happened) because we address the PG issue as well as another. But that is gone now.
Rockets looked lost out there. Its like they went out there without purpose without know what the hell to do. They have to figure out what they are going to do and get on the same damn page. I feel people on this team are more concerned on who is the leader, who is getting the spotlight then on winning. WHy? because we seem to have childish super stars on our team.
