SF is younger than Cat, and Cat is still averaging 10+ pts this year.

If that SF is still alive, then Rafer wouldn't be our starter.

SF might need to get on the practice floor before even coming close to stepping in a real game.

We need to buy out his contract and then hire him as our color commentator.

whats crazy is he did all that without even being healthy. Basically played on one leg for us. Watching the suns game on Wednesday brought back memories when this happened. only if he can actually get his heart back and play :(

imagine if we had the old steve with our current team.. brooks and old school franchise as our pg's!

but yeah.. don't see it happening.. if it does for some odd miracle.. then it will be a pleasent surprise.

I love the idea!!!! Old Francis with our current team. Can u imagine that. Francis and Landry high flying power dunks along with McGrady and Dorsey( probably ). But and i mean BIG BUT that wouldn't be good. He would only be playing just to be on sportscenter and also was immature. Francis himself said it he was just playin 2 be on T.V. The team we have now is built 2 win it all.

Was watching the knicks game, as the rox game is bored.

Nate robinson is like a mini SF3.

If only SF3 can play like nate now.
    15 points, 46% shooting, 4 boards, 5 assist, 3 steals and only 1 turnover.

Rox could and will punk the spurs reserve.

damn I miss Steve as much as the next, but I dont see he coming back to this team(I know it sucks) :( . I know if he suited up, the rockets fans would go crazy again. Because there's no excitement on the court no more(we need ya steve). When I heard the TC crowd roar last year for him, I got chills and kinda teared up. Im MJ/Bulls fan turn ROX fans after the lockout. So you can understand why I feel the way I feel about him. I remember watching him play against the Sonics in a preseason, I was hooked from there :) . Im hoping we can see him one more time in a rox uni again.

BTW for people saying he played for our loosing team, He led us to 2 .500+ seasons, and never got any credit for that. This dude loves Houston more than any of our former players inc. Hakeem. Cut him some slack, and quit being so negative and be a real fan and wish for the best. ;)

Tonight is a perfect example of why Steve has such a loyal following...

...because lameduck players who leech off of the payroll without playing is an admirable thing to follow?....

I agree no excitement at all with Rafer at the pg spot but with the way Aaron Brooks is playing all of that can change.

wth are you talking about? if you saw any of his recent interviews or pictures then you'd know that he lost a lot of weight.

Next to Dream I have NEVER seen a player for the Rockets as spectacular, athletic and never someone at his height have so much total game as he does. I think the knee tendonitis has to heal completely which takes time but I would NEVER right off someone with Francis' heart and athleticism if he can bounce back from the tendonitis in the knee.

Francis and Dream are by FAR the most prolific Rockets I've ever watched and I DO recall a lot of his overdribbling too long til there was too little time left on the clock and having to force the offense, but just pure SKILL dribbling, shooting and playing above the rim for his SIZE he's the best I've seen on this team and I''ve watched almost every game since '92 and several before that period.

I'm hoping he comes back to replace Rafer and play behind the rightful starter, AB baby!!! Rafer sucks....

you canNOT completely write-off francis entirely from the nba.

while it's clear he will never be as athletic and dominant with the ball, he could provide something. maybe as a pace changer (when you need a penetrator).

we'll probably never see him start again, but he still has something left.

the final question is, when he finally does get healthy again, where would he fit into the rotation. as far is this season is concerned, that isn't clear at all...unless he miraculously comes back better than expected.

lol that was funny. where will he fit in our rotation. Francis could easily play. Rafer yes he is struggling but he is good with just passing the ball and sitting right there on the line waiting to miss his shot

AB is a young smaller version of steve. I notice him dribbling dribbling making plays with his speed and he has a shot. Coach once thought Steve would be his starter even when Rafer was on the team so hopefully steve can make coach a believer again
