I think the tentative time for his return is Saturday against New Orleans.

 

He hasn't even practiced yet, so I don't see how he'd return for Saturday. I'd give it at least a week.

We definately need him to stop Peja. Otherwise, difficult to win the Hornets.

I read somewhere that the earliest we would see him playing on the court was Thanksgiving.

I honestly think this is a blessing in disguise, cause as Battier is out, Artest gets to learn to play with both the starters and the bench. Adleman can see exactly what he likes from artest, both offensively and defensively, and thus can figure out in certain situations how he'll play them both when Shane does come back. If Shane was here, he would be starting, meaning Artest would not have this all this time with TMAC and Yao, which is important if he's to finish games for us. Shane is gonna be missed terribly, but honestly, Artest needs this time.

He took part in 2 on 2 drills and had some swelling as was expected. He may join the team practices in another week. This is based on Morey's radio comments.
