That sounds like a great idea. It's against the Griz on April 14th, Sunday, at 7:30 pm. I'm game if we can get a big group.

I'm always in. Great weekend game for out-of-towners who've never made a RM95 gathering or a Houston one to finally show-up. Dr of Dunk will give us his outstanding post game observations, too.

read this awesome post after last year's gathering:

    <a href="http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?threadid=10637&highlight=your+seats+blue">Doc's Review of the Game</a>

Oh, and I'll contribute the seating chart, again. :D

I think the end of this season is something that should be celebrated!

I sent an e-mail to Jeff, and it doesn't sound like he is going to be able to organize (or have the time to) this game. (Jeff, correct me if I'm wrong) My idea is that we could try to get a bunch of $13 seats in the same section, that way Crispee's chart will have a blob in one area, and just a few scattered dots. Plus we should be heard pretty well if we are in the same general area. Just my thoughts...

The logistics of setting this thing up is just a nightmare. Setting up the event, getting money from participants, distributing tickets is really crazy. I spoke to Jeff briefly about this and it's a logistical nightmare!

While it's a good idea, it's more difficult than it sounds...

I thought everyone just ordered their tickets through a ticketmaster link from this site? That's all we did last year. We were scattered all over the summit.

Why don't we just buy our tickets, meet before or after the game, and during? It is still fun.

That is not that hard at all. RM95 organizes that stuff twice a month in Austin it seems.

    <b>Getting Seats Together IS a Nightmare</b>

Jeff is right about getting a block of seats. I did that for Barkley's last game. Someone just have to shell out the cash. Obviously, that is not going to happen, so someone has to collect from everyone ahead of time. That's a nightmare.

The one idea we could do next year is set up a paypal account and let everyone prepay through there. At the point the account reaches X number of seats, Jeff places the order. Even still, someone has to match names to tickets and place them at Will Call. Paypal would have a copy of who is who, but problems can still arise with translating all that to Will Call. I would guess that groups of 20 would get some accommodations at the gate. As I recall doing this before, as long as one person known by the Rockets Rep to authorize giving away those tickets is at Will Call, you can stand there and give them away. All you'd need is a print out of names. It's all too late for that this year.

My feelings are if that group of 100 Turkish fans can come out to see Turkoglu waving their flags and doing the prepared chants, someone can step up and do this as long as no one whines if you are late to the game and Will Call gets your name wrong.

crispee, my organization simply consists of telling people we'll be wherever...the bar's normally not the size of The Summit though (even though there are normally as many people at the bar).

    I may be in.

    Here is an idea...

Why don't we pick a section and try to get our seats near that section.

I say we try for section 225 or 205, cheap seats, but still a decent view. If someone has the time to call the Rockets ticket office we could find out which section has the most $13-19 seats available and go with that section. That way everyone takes care of their own tickets, and we can be relatively close. Also, we should be able to move over to an empty section nearby (206 or 226).

Does this sound like a good idea?
