So I decided to look at that infamous brawl tonight, just because I wanted to see oneals massive hit on that fan who ran on the court, but then as I watched I realized man, artest didn't even start this fight, BEN WALLACE started this fight, BEN WALLACE originally pushed artest, artest just ignored it at first, then WALLACE came after ben, then when artest goes to chill on the scorers table they throw beer at the man, AND a bottle, now okay we all know this, nothing new, but WHY THE HELL DOESN'T BEN WALLACE EVER GET CRAP? i've never watched a pistons game where they say anything about ben wallace is infamously known for his involvement in the brawl at the palace, i don't think its fair that he gets all the rap for that incident, even if he is more volatile than most other players in the league, he wasn't alone and i for one don't blame him for what he did, blah blah role model ****, barkley was right these guys shouldn't be models kids should be looking up to intelligent people and their friggin parents...ps i love aaron after burner brooks

I thought you talking about something recent, this is on your mind after a rout from the Lakers?

When it happened most sane people agreed that it was Ben Wallace fault.

I know what you're saying, but...

Many players have started fights in the NBA. As far as I know, only 2 players have taken it into the stands (Artest, Maxwell). Of course I'm disregarding the players that went up there after the fact, but I think you see the point.

At the same time, both Artest and Max had very good reasons to be upset. I think you'd have seen more players going into the stands if they weren't restrained in some way by teammates or coaches. Artest was laying on the scorer's table away from his bench, and the Indiana coaches were too slow to react.

I agree. I was actually going to say this in my first post but got distracted. I think a lot of players would react the same way, but the truth is that Ron was the one that got tested by a fan. It's mostly just unfortunate, because I think Ron is a fairly nice guy, as eccentric as he may be.

Passionate, physical athletes, basically caged animals... They are out there competing, fighting, earning their money. They are men. And you get some punk throwing beer on you? The players are tuned in, aggressive. Of course Artest went into the stands. 50% of the players in the league would. If someone did that to me I would do the same. Bad decision? Yes. Heat of the battle though...

Oh and when O'Neal sends that fatty Detroit fan flying to the ground. Priceless, I bet that felt great.

Antonio Davis went into the stands as well, but with a different intent I guess.

People should never forget that Vernon Maxwell was the original NBA player to go into the stands! As a Rockets fan, that's something I'm proud of, especially after the ass kicking we got tonight.

if he didnt do that, we wouldnt have got him with just 2 first round picks and jackson. He would be worth a lot more to the team.
