The rockets should've tried taking it up their throat in the 2nd quarter, the lakers should be giving up by now as they already won

I'm frustrated by Rick's substitution patterns. I know he has been coaching in the NBA for a long time, but some of his rotations are weird and plain annoying. I just turned off the game right now because too many bad things are going on and I'm just getting very stress and tense watching this.

A few things that have really began to bug me:

    1) Rafer Alston staying on the floor more than needed. I understood in the past we didn't have a decent back up, but now we have one. Aaron was having a great game and although he has been making some mistakes out there, we need to let him learn. Let him play through the turnovers.

    2) Rockets are passing so softly. It's so freaking annoying looking at the Rockets passing. They need to make crisp passes rather than giving the ball a huge maximum height therefore it is easier to steal.

    3) T-mac, please, just nurse your injury. His shot is so freakin flat, his lateral movement is crap. I'm in the true belief now that he is hurting us more rather than helping us. At first I convinced myself that he would play through this, but he doesn't really run the fast break (not that he ever did in the first place, but now he is basically walking) and making some horrible decision jump shooting wise (nothing new, except since he has no elevation, he hardly has a chance of making a shot now).

    4) Move Ron to the bench. Too many one on one players in the 1st unit. I love my boy Ron, but I truly believe he would be better off the bench, subbing in for Tracy McGrady.

    5) Yao's minutes need to be decreased. So what if he doesn't practice as much, he doesn't seem very mobile out there now.

    6) Landry, for the love of God, please box out. I'm glad you are getting offensive rebounds, but seriously at least box out on the defensive end, this is truly irritating.

    7) This Rick Adelman offense could work, but McGrady nor Artest are making a full commitment to it. Especially McGrady.

Overall, I'm just really frustrated with this loss and those mistakes just made me scream. Our defense has been subpar (regardless of whatever stat durvasa would post d-effeciency or something like that), but there are a lot more gaps and holes the offense is finding in our defense that is hurting us. So yeah, whatever. It's just the seventh game of the season, but I just really needed to rant.

    Thank you guys for reading.

BTW, I forgot to give credit to the Lakers. They played great defense. Much improved from last year.

I don't think Adelmans offense will work with this group of guys. Kinda missing JVGs system atm.

    Really?

What about Landry and Brooks? They came off the bench and played with intensity and they played hard.

Come DD, the past is nice and all but we need today. The Rockets need to get the *** together. Also I dont think RA's ideal of not letting Yao practice with the team is killing us on Yao's side. Getting rest my ass.

Adelman will realise when the Rockets are #9 in the WEST and will then have them play their game- inside/ outside and strong three point shooting- two tall Centers and fewer midgets. :p

What a stupid coaching strategy. Why the hell you rest all 3 starters and expect to maintain the score and momentum. When your opponents is down and you got them down, you want to *****ng destroyed them. Instead, what did Rick Adelman do?? He gives them life or rather waiting to give them life by resting all the starters...dumb strategy. Now look what happened..? The Lakers came back and with more enthusiasm because you give them life. When someone is down...that's the best way to place a dagger down their throat. It makes me sick watching this game...and makes me sick watching the players like Yao and Artest playing hard to take the lead only to be ruined by stupid coach substitution strategy. Sure, you can say oooh the other players didn't do their job when they were out there...but how can you expect the team to do their job when you put ONLY mediocre players out there...it's like giving up the lead or the desire to win!

This is the same reason they lost to the Celtics because he took Yao out i think because he got 2 fouls and as a result the Celtics take the lead and never look back. Now because this game is so important...why not just play Yao beyond the 2nd foul?? Who makes up the rule that because you have 2 fouls that you had to take him out?? That's just a dumb move. Also remember how Rick Adelman play Yao through 1st quarter in the 1st and 2nd game of the season??? Why did he do that?? And did they win those games?? YES!!! Because he knew we had to have Yao in there to maintain the lead because they were in dangerous of losing it. Now back the Lakers game, why didn't he show the same desire of winning??? Even when you're by 14 or 16pts...you want to destroy them while they're down!! I quit watching after he allows the Lakers to come back in the 2nd quarters and take the lead for good...i was pissed off!!

DD, Your patience should be much appreciated though some fans can't see the future of Rox if Rick keep his weird couching.

This team is built for JVG. Adelman doesn't know what he's doing.

Why put Yao in the high post to initiate the offense? It doesn't make any sense at all. He's not Sabonis. He's not Brad Miller. Yao is a traditional back to the basket center.

Park Yao on the low block.

T-Mac, Yao and Artest could all go a combined 0/50 from the free throw line and people would put the blame on Adelman.

There is a long list of centers who are better than current Yao. It is sad but it is true.

Adelman's offensive system is terrible for this group of players.
