i don't care what a lot of people say. but if we can keep these guys and put a strong center and a defensive minded sf with them we can have a championship team in a couple of years. they are great players, Griffin will be a great player, just give him a few years. Francis is a superb allround guard. mobley is a great scorer and shooter. I woudn't trade them for anything. keep these 3 and get some roleplayers

We'll see how MoT works with the this core. If he gels like we all hope he will all we will really need is a strong center. strong = HUGE center who can give a prescence inside and get us some rebounds. Hey Jeff is there any way for us to find the stat of how many layups the Rockets have had on them.....or points in the paint??

I have a stat for you, last in the league in opp fg% at 47%, last in to's forced. This says enough about layups dunks or whatever you want to label bad d.

True.....but teams will find it a lot less convenient to beat their man off the dribble and take it to the paint for an easy two if there is a "Shaq" like center standing there ready to know u on ur a$$...I did forget about the offensive end also....we do need a post up player.....Cato is doing much better, but it seems like he is a 4 trapped in a 5's body......

Is our suppose to be shot blocking center even getting 2 blks per game? Even kirelenko is avg almost 2 blks in 20minutes.

Here comes the Devil's Advocate!! :D

Would the Rocks be better off if they hadn't made the 3-for-1 trade with NJ for Eddie?

Jefferson's a player, plus the Rocks could've selected someone like Randolph, Tinsley, or Parker with one of the other picks. The Rocks certainly would've increased their overall talent level, though Griffin certainly seems to have the most potential of the players I've mentioned.

For further proof, NJ is a playoff team and 2 of those rookies are in their rotation, Griffin is a rotation player on one of the league's worst teams. Is this just a coincidence? (I know, I know,...just play along, please? ;) )

Well considering NJ is in the East and we are in the West:rolleyes: Which I know is no excuse....but I think Eddie has much more to work with than the other rooks. They are solid players....but I dont see much improvement in them other than just experience. so no I think we did the right thing with the trade. I dont even really want to lose any of our guys.....except fo Tmo and Langhi.......they are great players, but they just dont fit into the rotation....that and Tmo just cant get out of that rookie slump....and he is playing way to many minutes to be in a slump. I think Cato should stay.....but I really wish we were not paying him SO MUCH MONEY:mad:
