What shot or move, in the history of the rockets, do you feel was automatic...and that you considered money in the bank, and that when missed you couldn't believe it had been missed. It even got you angry that the result was not two points.

I can think of a few. Here's one.

Bullard - Wide open three pointer. I felt everytime he took that shot he'd make it. Still do. It's money in the bank.

    lol!

This has to be one of the funniest topic names ive seen in a while!

Anyways, Hakeem, Kenny, Horry(when he was on fire), and Elie were all guys that I expected to make the "money shot".

Thorpe running trailer...great finisher no matter how poor of a dish was given to him.

so, Pole...as PhiSlammaJamma suggests, I guess you were angry when Dream finally missed on of those recently.

Hakeems fadeaway and hook. Charles when he kept on backing it in backing it in, faked and went under the guy. Horry when he was hot was as good as any.

In his heydays, the Dreamshake was money. As far as getting mad when they missed, how about The Wizard's 2 layups and 1 dunk last night? I could have done what he did for a lot less money. A few hundred G's would be enough for me.

Steve Harris' or Mike Woodson's jumper. Like money in a Chilean bank, baby.

Dreamshake!! It seemed like that shot went through the basket. It was amazing to see and it seemed like he never missed. Hope we can see it again someday.

Rudy T, folks, was 'da man with the bank shot. That's one thing about Duncan that I don't like: he gets credit for being good at a long forgotten but worthy skill, namely the bank shot. Seriously, Rudy used the glass a lot and made a high percentage of those shots.

I gotta put my vote in for Otis Thorpe on the break. Once he palmed that ball in that big paw of his, it was going down, and down hard.

There was always the Purvis Short rainbow jumper.....

Anytime the opposing team's point guard drove into the lane against us it was (and still is) a money shot. Images of GP, KJ, AJ, Nick the Quick, and John Crotty come to mind.

Champions don't die. They simply lose decent point guards.

Any shot that Maxwell took with fewer than 2 seconds on the clock. Any other time in the game, I would be amazed if he made one.

The brief time that Eddie Johnson was with us... i just had a feeling everytime he shot it was gonna be money.

..and also the Matt Maloney killah crossover, drive to the hoop, and 360 windmill jam [IMG]

Yep, it's Otis. No doubt about it. Remember how he would hang from one arm for about a second after his dunks? He wasn't taunting anybody, he was just saying "yea" for a little bit.

Actually I think Kenny Smith was the best pure shooter we have had (well, at least since the early 80's or so). Bullard and Elie were very good when they had plenty of time to set up, but not quite as good as Kenny IMHO. Also, I actually think Dream was a better shooter in motion than the rare times no guy was within 5 feet and he had a wide open shot.
