Agreed, this is a game where I dont think we'll be seeing the red zone that often. Aside from the obvious "no turnovers from Rosenfels," if were gonna put up points against this top 10 defense, itll come from Slaton. Or a JJ runback, though I think he tries too hard to make a play. HOU 19 BAL 17
Our O-line will once again get pulverized, leading to more turnovers and points off turnovers. Ravens 27 Texans 10
texans will win as long as we have sage rosenfels as our starting QB.....Sage was 4-1 last season when he started, this season is 0-1.. that loss came from the colts game.. Yes, he did mistakes.. but hes a better fit than Schuabs for this team...
Couldn't disagree more. The Texans had Rosenfumble for more than half of last week's game. How'd that work out for them?
wait wait wait..hold the phone. are there people really out there like this??? who watch this team and think they're going to win games because of sage...and lose games because sage isn't in???? i can understand thinking schaub is better than sage...or that sage is better than schaub....but thinking that either one means a win on Sunday?? i don't understand that.
I can understand both former points of view as well. As to the latter: I can remember a recent Sunday where one of them meant a loss. A loss of historic proportions. One of the greatest comebacks in NFL history, collected off the turf of Reliant Stadium after bouncing from the hands of... Sparky McRosenfumble.
my point is that their offense has a better flow when Sage is the QB. Of course both offense and defense have to be good enough in order to win some games, but it doesnt matter how good of defense they play, if they can't score, they can't win.. Not to mention this texans team is not too good on defensively, they are last in the NFL when oppenents are inside of their 20s and scoring touchdowns. Look at what happened in last weeks game, in the 1st half they couldnt move the ball at all, and then what happened when sage came in the 2nd half...
21/29, 2 touchdowns and a pick. statwise he doesnt look too shabby on paper, but watching him play and make decisions is a whole other thing.
Forgive me, but I just need some clarity. Am I to understand that you are not a fan of Sage Rosenfels?
Let's indeed have a look at what happened in the 2nd half. They started calling for a lot more dump-off passes (easier to complete, quicker release). Sage happened to be in the game when this adjustment was made. Was it the presence of Sage? Or was it the dumpoff? Because, as I'm sure you remember, even David Carr could put up some pretty good-looking numbers with a bunch of dumpoff passes to AJ. I am now Rosenfumble's biggest fan. We need him to perform like a Pro Bowler. I'm pulling for him all the way. Go Sage! It's this unproven, unfounded idea that a career backup and garbage time probowler is in and of himself the reason the Texans will win that I have a problem with. He's never been the sole reason the Texans won a game. But he *was* the sole reason they lost one.
We have no other option if Rosenfels does poorly. Owen Daniels is the ridiculous backup after that I think? Have we been practicing the wildcat? and what the hell, okoyes not playing either, not that hes been an impact this season.
Does anyone know of a link to the game online? I'm in Austin and going to a sports bar is not an option since my son is 11 days old.
TVGuide.com says under basic cable, the game will be shown on channel 5, CBS- KENE.... What is that? Under TWC- only Titans game on KEYE. DD- where are you?
