    bullard said earlier on 610 that deke might be signed earlier than expected....gosh we needed him these past 2 games.

    Completely agree. Yao's going to burn out in the first 20 games if we don't get Deke back in there.

    I think the Rockets are realizing that they need Deke more than they expected. The defensive rebounding HAS to improve. The good teams allow one shot and that's it.

    Agree about the sucking.

    We need him anyway. We have the roster spot open and need a LEGIT backup big man. Sometimes Scola/Hayes won't cut it. They don't block shots

    Meh, look at Yao's vertical leap, he's not jumping anymore, I'm not sure it's a rest thing. I'm not saying rest would hurt him, I'm just saying maybe he needs some time to get his hops back.

    We do regardless if he was playing well. He can't continue to play the same amount of minutes for the rest of the season.

    The Team has holes the you can see it clearly. You don't get that dominating presence with the team as it is right now. Deke doesn't just bring defense and rebounding he brings leadership and experience both he and Battier.

    That might mean having to take any kind of deal for Luther just to stay under LT instead of waiting around for the best deal. As they are now they can stay under LT by waiving Wafer before Jan 10 and signing Deke around February.
