I argue that goatees, when properly maintained, can enhance one's appearance. I rock one, personally. My friend claims that anything more than clean shaven or less than full beards qualifies as disgraceful. Clutchfans must settle this!
Men have the right to decide too. Men judge other men, the hot chicks with douchebags thread is proof.
I have had one for the better part of the last 15 years. I shaved it off for the first time about a year ago. My wife, who I have been with for 10 years, didn't recognize me at first and it scared her. She had literally never seen my chin. I didn't care for it and grew it right back.
You already know what I think, never under any circumstances acceptable. So I will cast my vote and be done.
Similar story for me. Had one for about eight years. I always had it trimed at the lowest setting so it was not long. I look young, so I felt like I needed it. Last year I shaved without telling my wife of a few years. Came out of the bathroom acting like I was drying my face with a towel, let the towel drop and watched her eyes and mouth pop open. She likes me clean shaved but damn do I get nicks shaving. Also, I've go a badly placed mole on the corner of my chin that can get nicked...ouch!
A goatee looks good on me cause I am light skinned with a light brown head of hair with thick, black as night facial hair. Large penis , also.
Some people look cool with one... others not so much. As for me? I couldn't grow one to save my life.
I used to sport one back when I was under 21 trying to score some booze. Didn't realize in Houston you only had to be 15 to get beer at a corner store. Basically... Now I am a straight tiny barely noticeable soul patch guy, like your boy Kelly Dwyer.
