His offensive efficiency is down slightly, due to the fact he's taking more jumpers and less dunks off the feeds. I'm wondering about his explosiveness. So far this season, with Artest, this team has drawn more fouls and is shooting more free throws. It would seem to me that Landry would still be best served to get in the lane and draw more fouls going straight with that quick leap. I think his primary focus should be getting to the rim for that quick dunk. However, Artest does change a lot of the dynamic and roles for guys out there since he is so good and powerful on the block and is one of those guys that draws the fouls. This may be part of the reason Landry is playing out high more. I'm fine with his jump shot. It looks real good. It's just hard to tell if he has lost some explosiveness or if it is just due to not being in the paint as much.

wow just wow  Here I clicked the thread expecting to read why we are not giving Landry more minutes! lol... If not for him and Brooks, we would probably be 2-2. I personally think he should start over Scola. Landry needs to be paired with Yao because he is such a good rebounder while Yao is not. Scola need to be paired with Dorsey (?!) or Mutombo if we ever sign him.

I have been very impressed with how Landry's game has developed. He is a complete player now. He gets rebounds, dunks and even has a consistent jump shot now! The only minor flaw is his defensive, since he is quick enough, he should try to make more plays on the ball rather than just have his hands up like Yao does quite often. In this league players are so good offensively that they will find a way to draw a foul.

Anyways, Landry and Brooks have been the ray of light for this team these past four games.

While he lost some of his explosiveness he still get his points with his mid range shots. But oddly enough he may not seem to jump high while holding the ball via dunking but he seems to go high every now and then for a rebound (maybe the ball weighs a bit more?!).

Overall the fact that he is still a scoring a good bit off the bench is excellent. But do not get me wrong if we needed to use a decent player for a trade to include a not so good player (aka Head) so that we may get something actually useful in return and sign Deke back in the process Landry would be my first candidate.

he's not as explosive under the basket as he was last year, but he is making teams pay nonetheless with his midrange jumper which is great

Actually he is as explosive as last season, but have u seen his 15' jumper? This is the reason why he doesn't have to get to the rim that many time! and since teams are aware of his explosiveness, players pay more attention to him.
