Ok, lets start a thread getting away from the negative image of Yao and Rafer because quite frankly its getting disturbing to hear all you proud Rockets fans saying F this, trade that, need more of this and stop doing that. One after another and almost the same thread, just a different title.

But one thing that was just steady regardless the name of the thread was trades. I always notice Head being used as a TE but the majority of the time its usually a bigger payback for us. Like Head is worthless to us but gold to another.

Lets get some smart trade ideals done that actually make sense for both teams instead of just a one sided deal. If that means involving Battier or Landry or Scola or whoever just to get Deke back into the game or maybe another PG.

Please, lets not start replies with Yao f'ed up game four of 82 so this is a prime time to trade! Or Tmac will be hurt forever lets trade him! Lets get some real ideas down. No animosity toward our trade bait and something that actually works out LT and other team wise.

    I'll start this off:

Trade Landry and Head (Head being the TE I believe) for Felton. We already know the Bobcats wanted Landry so it is possible.

    Felton: $4,148,715

    Landry: $3,000,000
    Head: $1,962,378

Now you can always make a change like Francis instead of Head or what not but I know it wouldn't make sense to trade Rafer for Felton (pg for pg??) and lets be honest will Rafer seem appealing to them? Landry at least we know is appealing being they inquired about him. This is just a thought put on paper. Something to get away from the 2 days hard core banging.

Lets try another on for size:

    Jose Calderon: $7,438,018

Rafer: $4,900,000 (I really really doubt they would take him maybe having to upgrade him to a Battier :( )
Landry: $3,000,000 (in both my trade thoughts, you can easily switch out Landry for Scola since the pay is almost the same but please do not think I am hating on Landry, but you have to make a trade look appealing, you just can't add the bottom 3 bench players for a upgrade) (also if we did have to use someone of Battier for a trade then head could be used instead of Landry or Scola)

These are just some quick thoughts. Flame on or add on!

Trade talks were happening before these events of Yao and Rafer bashing happened or did you just turn into a fan recently?

Before the season started we knew we needed a better PG and a backup C. In some kinda ways we needed a taller PF as well but that wasn't a main concern.

So if you are thinking trade talk only started a couple days ago because of a certain game then you need to do a lot of back tracking.

The Raptors would laugh in Morey's face if we offered that for Calderon. Have you seen the way he's been playing?

Yeah I kinda figured but I am just trying to put more realistic ideas then everyone else just saying Head for a draft pick.

    That is absurd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you remeber how impatient were you to get the season started, how perfect you thought this team would be before the season started?
    I remember it.

NOW, we are 3 -1. Only lost to the defending champ and you are talking about the trade.

    Other teams is laughing.

I don't know where you get your info from but as soon as I knew Bobcats wanted Landry I already had my own trade thoughts for him. I was impatient like anyone else but never for a minute thought we were perfect.

The only thing I have retracted on is Rafer. I defended him during the off season. And being that I only gave one stipulation of a trade involving Rafer (even though it could be switched for Battier). So really I dont know who you thought I was or if you got me confused with someone else but your whole post was a waste of your typing.

    Doesn't Orlando need PG's? A backup?

Trading landry and rafer for jose? no feasible. I would like to see that happen, but the raptors aren't gonna excute such a trade. you know, raptors traded TJ Ford in the offseason, just to make space for calderon. I mean, the raptors would rather give up TJ ford just for calderon. I don't think rafer>ford, even plus landry whom the raptors have no interest on. raptors now have three great c/pfs in O'Neal, Bosh and the former no.1 draft. but the pacers seem to be in favour of landry so that we may trade that package to indianna for TJ ford. But ford is not valid and always get injuried, maybe it's a bargain to trade rafer for him but we have to add landry, losing landry is a huge loss that can not be matched by Ford.

But it's practical to trade rafer n head for felton. but why shall we do that? is felton a little bit better than fater? Maybe, but rafer is gonna be more fit for our systerm and he knows our team better. Further more, we need a PG who can shoot, but felton's shooting skills are even worse than rafer's. overall, PG problem is no longer the no.1 crisis we are facing now since aron brooks shows his capability in game2 versus mavs. Now, the crisis is the center problem. We have to let yao rest more during the regular season so that yao will be able to be 100% when the postseason begins.

I dont think Bobcats would take two guards for one?? But this is the kind of input I was looking for.

One thing that the trades I mention do allow is the resigning of Deke....I think it gives us the cap room?
