Mad Max got into a serious fight with Gary Payton in the locker room. Payton pulled out a chair, Max went for free weights. Horace Grant has a bruised shoulder from a thrown free weight and Person aggravated his surgically repaired knee.

I am thankful that the Rockets have the sense to rid themselves of players like this.

    DrRobert,
As f'd up as Vernon Maxwell is, I'm sure glad he was here in 1994-1995. As far as the Sonics are concerned, I hope that the next time they throw things at eachother that all objects hit their intended targets. BTW, do you know anything about Payton's off-court or general personality that might suggest that Payton is just as bad as Maxwell in this episode? We all know Maxwell is a trouble maker, but is Payton an a-hole himself?

DrRobert, very clever in adding the last line with "Rockets" in it so it fits in the Rocket Forum. You didn't even have to edit it in later -LOL

BTW-in NBADish there is a related thread you might want to check out as well.
