I bought the sling box and was getting cable from one of my friends basically for free to watch the rockets game. But my dsl quality was slow and it looked a lot like the CCTV broadcasts so I have decided to get cable.

I want to see if anyone here has any interest in the Slingbox. The perfect way to watch ALL rockets games if you are an out of towner and know someone here in houston!

    $80 or best offer.

Retails at $100. If you need a summary of how it works i can give you one.

Pick up or i can arrange shipping.

the AV does not broadcast hdtv channels i think. i saw it on a site a few months ago selling for $70. i think Slingbox Solo is the minimum you need to broadcast hdtv.

do u know if u can still watch hdtv channels online in analog form with the AV or do they show blank screen? does it work with dish network hdtv boxes?

I have one too, and I am thinking about selling it. I got it for my father to broadcast the channels to him (he's in Saudi), but with their many upgrades of their Satelite channels he doesn't need it anymore.

How well do these things work? I'm planning on transferring schools to San Antonio next year and I'd like to see the Rockets without watching the crappy streams online. I would buy league pass, but the apartment I'm moving into most likely just has standard cable.

if you have a cable internet connection. (i have dsl) it will look just like standard def. if you have ever seen some of the streams from the links provided here (from nba league pass) they look a lot like that.

other perks i guess would be that you can watch local televsion games as well, astros games and texans game if they are blacked out over there.

    its still available btw...

I will buy it from you if you will hook it up at your place. (i assume you live in Houston). The nba league pass broadband blocks all nationally televised games.

my email address is on my profile.
