From the game I saw last night, I do have alot to say. Yes, we could've and should've won this game if yao did not miss that dunk and Tmac hit that free throw. But a loss is a loss, now they just have to look ahead and try to improve from there.

To me, Yao Ming was not the reason for them to lost a game last night, nor as Ron Artest either. Yes, both of them had an awful game offensively last night, they were combined 7 for 30 or something, especially Yao. He couldn't even dunk when he was right alone under the basket, and he had his shots blocked more than 3 times. But he and Ron Artest still draw double teams when they had the ball, and dont forget they both dived for the ball in the 4th quarter. Ron Artest did a hell of job on holding Pierce to only 13 points.

The real problem is the PG position, we know how important Rafael Alston is to this team, and without him running the point, the Rockets offense has no clue how their sets. We all saw what happened last year with him being out of the lineup, but this year, I think Arron Brooks has improved alot, but I'm still not sure if he's capable of being our starting PG.

Rafael Alston is shooting only 20% from the field, he has made ONLY TWO shots inside the 3pt line, one was the right handed layup last night, I cant remember what the other was. He's been wide open for most of his shots, but he just couldn't knock them down. I know the Rockets might have enough offense power when you talk about Tmac, Yao, Artest, Scola is your starting five. But sometimes when some of those players have an offense off night, you sure would love to see someone like Rafael could step up. What Rafael Alston did in the 22 games winning streak last year was a fluid. He's a streak shooter, or might not even consider a shooter at all.

I was listening to 1560am NO Layup show yesterday, they suggested there would be only 2 pgs who can come in and ready to play, one is Kirk Hinrich, and the other is Kyle Lowry. As they've mentioned if we want to mess up with the chemistry of this team, it's better to do it earlier in the season like right now.

I totally agree with their thought if they can trade Rafael Alston and Luther Head for someone like Kirk Hinrich.... I'm getting very tired of watching Alston play, I'm not exactly sure what the points differential is when Alston is in or out of the game, but every time when Arron Brooks comes into the game, the Rockets seem like getting more open shots, and scoring more points. I believe the same thing happened last night, the Celtics was making a run and they had a 16 point lead, but AB came into the game cut the lead back to 5 by end of the 2nd quarter....

This year is the year, anything short of the championship will be a disappointment, almost every starting PG in the west is better than Rafael Alston, I sure hope Alston can get a ring with the rockets, but with the ability he has, I'm not sure if it's good enough to stay with other PGs.

i agreed that Alston certainly didn't help us at all on the last 4 games that we played.

we needed another PG anyway and given the salary of alston and head, we could package them for gordon, as he is making around 6 million a year. kirk is making 10 mils which we will need to throw in another player.

Did Gordon play PG w/ Okafor? He had PG skills but he converted himself to a ballhog chucker in the NBA..

Can Rafael Alston shoot better than Rafer?

Or is he just a ninja turtle?

Rafer alston is not an NBA basketball player nor a college BB player. He's a former AND 1 player. How did he get in the NBA? Didn't he tryout on someone training camp and got lucky?

first of all, alston and head do not match salary with kirk.
2nd of all, the last thing bulls wants is more guards.

Ronda was torching Alston last night. But in all fairness, you can't get an accurate read on this team until Battier is in the rotation.

agree, with Battier coming back, do we see the lineup below in the 4th quarter??

PG: Arron Brooks / Brent Barry
    SG: Tmac
    SF: Battier
    PF: Artest
    C : Yao

But do you really think with line up we can really match up with the top teams like celtics, lakers, and hornets??

exactly, thank you. that's why as you mentioned, Rafael Alston is our weakest link........ with Mutombo & Battier coming back, please update our PG position..

    Can someone tell me why....

We allow mcgrady to keep playing when he is hobbling around the court? Really what is the reason for him to be running like he just twisted his ankle?

I understand he had surgery but still limping?
