Players have good and bad nights. The point is, it seems like Yao is having some physical problem. I don't know it's because his strength has gone down this summer or his is fatigued, but we must figure it out and solve it asap. Such a "****ty" Yao cannot win us a Champ.

I never thought I'd say that Kendrick Perkins had his way with Yao.

if an 8/7 night with no other significant contributions is not a bad game for yao, what is?

stop over-reacting, or hidden and subtle ways of bashing people.

if Alston scored 3 points with Kobe guarding him, do you call that a bad night? If Stockton couldn't win a championship against Jordan, do you call it a bad series? NO, they gave their best shot, just not good enough. I'm disguising anything. I never thought Yao was a great player. I knew he will have some bad games like these against certain players and certain teams, because he has glaring weakness that he can not overcome.

first, it's "yao didn't have a bad game" (as if 8/7 is his norm); then you just "knew he will have bad games like these (blah blah blah)". which one is it, flip-flopper?

one game, for many yao becomes an instant "big liability". artest shot what, 3/16 tonight? what the heck is he now? where are the landry fans who said he'd start over scola? and i also see some are saying how badly scola now is "underrated" since he's great tonight. all after one game.

    c'mon, my peoples.

I have to completely disagree. Yao played a BAD game. You're right, he's not the most dominant player but he's a 20/10 guy who played much worse than his average. That is a bad game for Yao. I don't expect to see a lot of performances from Yao like that.

Yao always has a great night after a horrible one. So don not worry about yao. Worry about next team which will be an victim of an angry big guy.

A good point. I always think defense takes five, too.

guys im a huge fan too...but chill out..its just that they didnt execute and make shots that they normally make..relax guys..i look at the brighter side of things.we are without SHANE and TMAC is not a 100% YAO and RON didnt shoot well and yet we only loss by 4pts.Our team still has a long way to go. all we have to worry about is the team stays healthy, secures home court and then make some noise in the playoffs and try to win it all

Yao was rolling with 6 quick points in the 1st but after sitting out with 2 quick fouls he just couldn't get that rhythm back. The celtics defense was good but Yao was missing gimmies. He got stuffed by the rim on one occasion. Hopefully he just had a night where he couldn't get it going.

Get Red? Yeah, there were some red-faced moments-- terrible embarassments-- last night. Yao has thrilled many more times than he has disappointed. He's not perfect, but he tries hard, and he is worthy of our loyalty. Hang in there, big fella!

Yao was garbage. The worst I have personally ever seen him play. Something isn't right, because there is no way that he should have a game like that at this point in his career if everything was OK.

    Is it the foot?

    I think yes.

Why else would a 7'6" guy miss two dunks by smacking the ball against the rim?! He's obviously not jumping well...

If he is hurt, let him sit until he is better. We can't afford to have him hurt at playoff time this year.

He seemed fine the other day when he scored 30 and pulled down +10 boards, and still got stuffed by the rim. Getting stuffed by the rim is nothing new for Yao. It regularly happens about 10 times a year. And when did he jump well? In fifth grade? He barely ever gets 6 inches off the floor.

guys calm down, one bad game isn't the end of the world. We stayed competitive and really close when our best player had a worst game.
