This is awesome. Just to gloat, I called this over four years ago. After his speech at the Convention four years ago, I said that I believed he would be the president elected in '08. I said if any African American were elected in my lifetime, it would be him. I believe I posted that on the BBS also. Congratulations Barack Obama. I hope that this presidency ends as great as it starts.
congratulations Barack Obama. This is a historic night for America. In 50 years people will be asking where you were when America elected it's first black president.
Congats to Obama! As I already came to grips with an Obama victory after the financial markets debacle, I'm more looking towards the positives and throwing my support behind our new young president. This is truly a great country when a minority child of a single mother and immigrant deadbeat father from modest means can attend the worlds greatest institutions of higher learning and rise to become the leader of the most powerful country in the history of the world. It is a testament to the greatness of this country and I believe there is no other country in the world it would come close to happening. This is a testament to the African American community that the only limitation is your own imagination and that anything is possible in this nation. Congrats on a historic night. I just wish his tax and trade policies were more of what would allow this country to continue its prosperity, but I will support him and give him an opportunity to prove me wrong.
I feel the same way and couldn't have said it better myself. I'm fiscally conservative, but Obama has my 100% support now as President of our country.
