Go back to the early 90's...Satan comes up to you and offers: "I will give you back to back championships. With Jordan gone, Hakeem will be the greatest player in the game. Your city will celebrate and feel good about itself after so many years of disappointment. Oh, one more thing, your Rockets will then begin a gradual decline and just flat out suck in the beginning of the next decade. Now do you want these championships?" Who among us would have said, "No thanks, Satan. I'd rather just go to the playoffs every year and not reach the finals. Besides, our Oilers will win us a Super Bowl before long and that is enough for me." Times are tough in Rocketville but I think we have a lot to be thankful for. os

Oh, one more thing, to get there, your Rockets will have to just flat out suck for another year so they can land one more high lottery pick. Now do you want these championships?" lol Will. The Rockets' lotto experience came in handy vs. Phoenix tonight. This is our 3rd straight year, and they haven't been there in 13 years. We simply out-tanked them.
In the last 22 years, only seven teams (Sixers, Celtics, Bulls, Pistons, Spurs, Lakers, and Rockets) have won NBA titles. We do have a lot to be thankful for.
And what if every team could win a championship and then had to wait another 28 years for their turn to win their next one?
