Interesting -- the day of the Celtics-Rockets matchup, the NBA claimed copyright violation on the YouTube video of the T-Mac-Bill Walker skirmish, which I posted after the preseason game.

Pretty much every video I post is of game action, which I was under the impression was cleared by the NBA for YouTube use. Interesting they only chose this one.

I love how the NBA is trying to fix it's image by controlling fan sites....I mean that is 100% going to backfire.

What would they do if this site was somehow relocated to Aruba, or Costa Rica, or China?

Purely stupid.....and purely an overeaction to the Donaghy scandal.

Ha... I wonder if Stern had anything to do with it.

YouTube did. It comes at an interesting time because of an issue I'm having with the team, but I'm guessing it's a coincidence. That it happened the day the Rockets-Celtics are playing is not likely a coincidence.

I've gotten a couple of "You don't have the right to this, but we'll let you keep it up anyway" emails from them.

Did they take it down completely? (Maybe too many hits on it - made it stick out?)

It had around 600,000 views and over 1,000 comments I think.

Yeah, I noticed the ones with the most hits get taken down more often. Shame that they would target you though.

you should tell youtube nba allows game action in case they decide to flag your account and delete it.

Damn that sucks. You're getting grief from the Rockets organization. I wonder if that happens from other media complaining in an effort to keep you down, or if it is purely, 100% the Rockets making waves.

They don't want any negative views of the NBA champions.

Just like when the Rockets stomped the Bulls, the NBA told Cartright to take out Hakeem with an elbow to the eye socket.

What happened to that video? you can find MJ videos for every game except that one. Oh, the Rockets also stomped the Bulls in Chicago too. that could be the reason.

    Conspiracy.

^^^hmmm, wonder if it is an NBA image thing to take down clips of fights...especially involving stars like TMac. Could that be the reason? They probably don't have copyright over youtubes made from TV News clips (so the Malice in the Palace vids from news footage could not be taken down)...but from actually game footage...they could control that.

obviously, NBA cares its copyrights on dirty plays, flops or Donaghy, not on the games.
