Ouch. Sammy and Horry at least made it interesting at the end. Admit it, going into overtime you thought there was a chance to still go all the way.
Sam Cassell's bank 3 off the glass to send that game into overtime was probably the most exciting "moment" for me during the clutch city days. the only other "moments" i can think of were the kiss of death, kenny's 3 in orlando, and hakeem's tip in, but none of those were really desperate. they were either tie-game or it didn't matter if we lost. btw - noone talks about robert horry's last quarter as a houston rocket. an absolutely insane 5-6 from 3pt to bring us back that really stands as testament to the fact that he may be the most clutch player in league history.
I'm a Democrat and a Houston sports fan. I never underestimate my team's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
