Awww, that's so sad. At least, she died knowing Obama is this close winning the presidency, whether he wins it or not.
[channeling Replican diehard stuck in denial] It's better she pass now thinking Obama has it won than be disappointed by the actual results. [/channeling Replican diehard stuck in denial]
Sad irony. There's no doubt that she was a big part of Barack becoming, quite possibly, our next President, and she just misses out on seeing it happen.
Obama is probably going to tear up tomorrow night, whether it includes tears of joy, because he won, or tears of sadness, because of his grandma. It will overwhelm him most definitely.
Very sad and my sympathies to Obama and his family. While it would've been good for her to live a little longer it sounded like she was deteriorating fast and its probably better that she didn't suffer for much longer. When its our time its our time and it sounds like she led a very full life.
She'll get to watch him tomorrow anyway and know that she helped to raise a wonderful and important man. Rest in peace.

A very tough thing to go through. No matter what happens tomorrow, election days will always be tied to this event in Obama's future.' RIP
GOP sues over Obama's trip to see grandmother What incredible timing -- coming out with this on the day that the grandmother in question dies: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/1..._n_140553.html The complaint goes out of its way to stress that it's not condemning the trip, only the Obama campaign's method of paying for it.
I have to agree with the GOP there. Sure, he visits his grandmother, but don't use campaign funds for a non-campaign trip.
I can not imagine how hard this must be given this timing. It's never easy to lose someone you love...but wow. Rest in peace.
Yeah, that $100,000 should be hard to come by... Let the people sue damn it. It's our money. We gave it to Obama.
So sad! I think that means he has no parents or grandparents left. I admit I teared up a bit in his half hour commercial when he talked bout the death of his mom. Regardless of where you stand politically, I think we can all agree that Obama is a class act and his mom and grandparents would be proud.
