If you are doing a fade you are getting ripped off if they make you pay more than 10 bucks, find some other place.
I've had my fair share of bad haircuts, but then again I'm sorta anal when giving instructions on how to trim my hair since it's tougher to style then a normal guy's hair. I can spot a bad or ill-fitted haircut from a mile away. This one time the stylist kept trying to convince me a flattop would look good on me despite my protests. Needless to say I didn't go back to her.
My husband pays $20-ish including tip. Where the heck do you people get $5-$10 haircuts? He needs to go there.
do you got to "Marios" off of fulton and tidwell ? Thats where i go and it also 15 dollars plus tip... They are real good at fades and tapers . I usually tip 'em 5 dollars since they also give me a shave me a free shave but thats just cus ive been going there for a while. I use to fade my hair on Mondays and Fridays but have cut it down to just once a week now cus i realized i was spending too much money on haircuts .
I was really picky about my fades when i used to get them. I know some people who pay 25 (including appointment fee) just for a fade. The tip is pretty much for the extra care taken to get you're haircut exactly the way you wanted it. I've been going to the same dude for a long time and even when he's high he cuts my hair better than anyone else, so i tip a few bucks more than the $12 haircut fee.
I pay about 12 bucks at SportClips. I go with the fade myself, though it's always a 3 or 4 fade. I feel like my best hair is at two and a half weeks after a number 2 fade. It's always the perfect length for me then.
I never understood this concept. You set a price for a service. I am making the assumption is that you are providing a good service. It's not like you are saying - $10 for bad haircut, $15 for so-so, $20 for a good haircut. So if the price is $15... shouldn't it be implied you will do your damned job and make it a good haircut?
Image Salon cuts hair good and the quality is consistent. Unfortunately the owner moved after he couldn't renew the lease. Hair cut is $10 w/shampoo. If you're interested, I'll give you his number. The new shop he works in is in bellaire/wilcrest I think. What I find amusing is my guy cousin who goes to the salon in the Galleria for a $40 bald fade.
15-18 w/ tip out here in LA if i am at home visiting the folks back in my hometown 10-12 w/ tip it can get real pricey out here depending on where you go i knew a guy who went to some "hollywood" salon out in beverly hills and paid around 50 for a haircut. poor guy didnt know any better (new to the country) and that was the closest place he could find
My hair is so curly/wavy, that if I go to a barber shop, they end up chopping it off and I look like Jerry Seinfeld which is tragic for many reasons. I go to the wife of a friend of mine and pay $30, but it is completely worth it and cheaper than when my hair was long. Last time I paid less than $20, they tried to pull out the razor and give me a flat top.
2.99 Star Cuts on Dairy Ashford and Alief Clodine. Been going there since I was 4. I give them 5 if they do a good job, 3 if they **** it up.
