His playing for a contract no? You can take it two ways He will help us win and turn us into the Lakers of 04. Or he can come in and pad his stats and screw everything up. I for one cannot believe he can coexist with Yao Ming and Tracy Mcgrady let alone with Ron Artest.
DD WHAT TOOK U SO LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!....LOL YOUR KINDA THREAD BOSSMAN.....LOL...... u got some buddies now........knew u were coming.......told u guys
I don't think the Rockets should screw up team chemistry. Anyone remember 22 games in a row when our chemistry clicked last year? Besides, it takes a while to "get" Adelman's system. Everyone we have now except Artest, Barry, and Dorsey have been here a while and are getting it. Even those guys went through a full training camp and pre-season to learn it. Marbury is Francis without the emotional ties that Francis has to this team. Thus, HELLZ TO THE NO. We don't want or need Marbury. If you want to take a flyer on a former all-star PG, let's keep that flyer on Francis. Brooks is playing well and Rafer is always underrated in regards to his importance to this team. Now is not the time to grab a has-been just because you recognize his name.
Stephon has done practically nothing the last 3 years of his career, unless you count being a team cancer as an accolade. I don't understand why people think that a guy who can't break the Knicks' rotation is going to contribute for us. One final note: Marbury makes the second most money this year out of all NBA players (KG is first). The only positive is that he's in his final year of his contract, so he may be valuable to some team that's trying to clear up tons of cap room for next season.
As much as I enjoyed watching Marbury at Ga Tech, I wouldn't want him on this team at this point in time for anything.
i think we should i mean we have artest im sure he can talk sense into him and its the first time he will play for a contender, the man has money he just wants to play and win, hes been on good behavior if we have him look how many scoring options we will have. Yao, ron, tmac, starbury i mean u can always have 2 allstars on the court at all times and steph can play the 2 and if this is our best chance at winning a ring i say we get deep. i like rafer and brooks but this guy is a scoring point , if someones having a bad day plug this guy in and if we have all 4 in at the same time i doubt anyone will be doubled allowing easy points. but i say we give it a chance cuz i mean i duno when steve will be ready to play. if steve can get us a center out of his contract i say we do it this is the year to win.
' i agree with you.. never pass up on good talent, especially when your team is filled with great characters.. sign MARBURY!
NO. We don't need him. NO. What we need is another big body to back up Yao, preferably Mutombo. Besides Mutombo, there is no other player that we need to add IMHO.
I'd much rather wait for Steve to get healthy and give him a chance. Personally, I don't see anything that Starbury can give us that a healthy Francis couldn't.
Taking a chance on Marbury is like taking on smoking to sue the tobacco companies, no matter how you slice it, it's not worth it, unless you're already addicted.
No Marbury should not be considered. Rafer still needs time to his game going and I am sure it will happen this next game. Rafer will improve against the Celtics.
