Lol, same. Quite honestly, I'm young and already have 2 different lower-management positions. Out of all the things I've done to prepare myself for the jobs, I put teaching middle school and coaching basketball at the top. Those experiences were much better than anything I've learned in b-school thus far.
You want some fun reading with some good lessons mixed in? Anything by Stanley Bing. I own everything he's ever written, and it's always entertaining/somewhat helpful. I recommend Throwing the Elephant: Zen and the Art of Managing Up , or Sun Tzu was a Sissy: Conquer your Enemies, Promote Your Friends, and Wage the REAL Art of War . These books are great for anyone with an interest in business, BTW.
