14 pt is a big lead against the one man show Thunders.

For crying out loud, the silent Thunders only scored 75 pts in 48 minutes. At that rate it took them almost 10 minute to score 14 min and shut us out. Not likely.

Wow, you make an awesome argument. Who said oklahoma is the worst team in the west? Who made Tmac and Artest the combination that will never collapse at the end of games? Are you the designated NBA scientist or something?

What difference is 5 minutes going to make? Yao won't go as hard in the next practice. We're three games into the season, if Yao is getting tired already, we have some big conditioning issues. Yes, we should conserve him during easy games, but as bad as we looked during the preseason, we should be letting them play it out a little.

They played just as good as Houston for most of the way. Memphis, a team many pick as the worst in the NBA came back from more than 10 points down in a very shorts stretch against the rockets. This is the NBA, 10+ point leads are never safe against anybody, especially a houston team that's been prone to collapses in the past. You have a very Confused mindset.

And that's 5 years older than you. From what I can tell by your posts, you are not very intelligent, and your English sucks.

I am not even complaining Yao's PT. I trust Coach A. However, I just do not think Deke would help in this case. Scola was the main backup C before Yao injured.

So lets see, last year early on we had folks calling for Rick's head because he wouldnt play Francis. Fans were certain that it was a personal issue between Adelman and Stevie. This year they are calling for his head early because Yao is averaging 40 mpg over 3 games. They are certain that he does not care about Yao or the team's long term success. Yet, a healthy Yao equals a much brighter long term outlook. Occam's Razor folks.

If Steve aint playin, its because he isnt ready to be in the game, be it health issues or playbook issues.

If Yao is playing a lot of minutes its because he is doing allright during those minutes, and there isn't anyone Rick feels comfortable putting in for him.

    Nothing sinister.

You try telling a 7'6 guy to sit on the bench.

Deke would be able to take some minutes from Yao, as Yao is in the end of games mostly for defensive purposes. If Scola replaced Yao in the 4th quarter it would only mean they are not attempting to stop the opponents from scoring, but trying to outscore them.

I think Coach needs Yao to play more until Tracy becomes fully healthy, and Shane comes back. Then, we'll most likely see his minutes go down.

that's possible. since Yao is in the stretch run mostly for his defense, Battier can definitely takes some of that load off.

Yao should be in the end of games for many reasons, but scolar/landry combo should give yao some more breaks in the 2rd and 3rd Qs, or even early in the 4th Qs. Again, there must a reason why we have not see more of that combo which was pretty powerful last season, maybe machups, maybe it required a 100% TMac ...

Adelman shouldnt take any risk with Yao. He has to limit his minutes. Also, we should sign Mutumbo for the back-up center. We need him.

i was screaming at the screen when we were up by 16 to sit yao, but the more i thought about it the less i was worried. cutting hours of practice everyday will do a lot for maintaining the health of yao. remember, after games for the last three years, yao would go to the weight room, i'm pretty sure they've cut that out of the regiment. and all the extra practices yao does on his own time will be cut out.

AND the most important point is that yao lost somewhere between 15-20 lbs over the offseason. this is huge in preventing another stress fracture injury. it also helps his conditioning and his game. it is evident that yao is almost to the dominant status of two years ago when he avg'd 25 ppg. he looks a lot quicker on the low block, he looks a hell of a lot quicker on the defensive end. how many times have we seen him stand straight up in perfect position while players attempt to bump into him to draw fouls, but nothing is called. this is not because of some new policy enacted by the refs, it's because yao is now in perfect position.
