I decided to pull out the Robinson vs. Dream series(95 WCF)...:(

He actually sprinted down the court...often beating the guards to each side.

    Lol.

Its sad how some idiots on this board are actually happy Hakeem "sucks". Yeah the greatest athlete in the history of our city "sucks"! "I told you he would suck, Woo hoo!"

You Hakeem hatas make me sick! Guess what though? Rockets suck even more then Hakeem. I am glad Hakeem is not on our team anymore, because the Rockets are a joke. At least he has a chance of making the playoffs.

Lenny Wilkens is a freakin moron! He might have commanded respect once, but he sucks now. If had given Hakeem an opportunity earlier, Dream might have actually done something. Eric Montross? Please! I can beat Montross.

Funny how you can say this about the only man to make the Hall of Fame as a player and a coach, but if you say it about a local Hall of Famer in waiting, you get labeled a hater and an idiot.

    Double standard? Naaaa.....

Why is it that people that wished that Hakeem had retired so he wouldn't be getting humiliated like this are labelled as "hatas"?

    Freak - watch your mouth!:p

Freak has always done the hit and run thing, where he stretches the truth to try to make a point.

A=B=C does not equate to A= Z all the time.

Okay, did you not watch Hakeem at the end of last year? Of course I dont think he is an all star or even a top ten center in the league. But at least give the man a chance. Hakeem probably dropped off a little from last year. But when Hakeem was on HE WAS ON!

How does this response even remotely address the issue of it being ok to say Lenny Wilkens sucks and is a moron, but not ok to say the same thing about Hakeem?

Did YOU watch Dream the first three quarters of last year. He was lumbering up the floor and getting blocked by the rim. There was a reason Matt Bullard was playing center in the forth quarter. I'm just glad we suckered the Raps into giving us two draft picks for him. Maybe we can trade Old Man Willis for a couple of picks as well.

Lenny Wilkens NBA's all-time winningest coach; MVP of 1960 NIT as Providence guard; played 15 years in NBA, including 4 as player-coach; MVP of 1971 All-Star Game; coached Seattle to NBA title in 1979; Coach of Year in 1994 with Atlanta; one of only two men (John Wooden) to be honored by the Hall of Fame as player and coach

Hakeem Olajuwon Nigerian native who was All-America in 1984 and Final Four MOP in 1983 for Houston; overall 1st pick by Houston Rockets in 1984 NBA draft; led Rockets to back-to-back NBA titles (1994-95); regular season MVP (1994) and 2-time Finals MVP ('94-95); 6-time All-NBA 1st team (1987-89,93-95); all-time NBA blocks leader

Let me ask the question again. Why is ok to say Wilkens is an idiot, a moron, and he sucks and not get called out for it, but say the same things about Olajuwon and you are a hata and you get jumped upon by TheFreak and his gang?

Lenny Wilkins has done a bad job this year even before the 13 game skid. I have watched every Raptors game that Hakeem has played in this year and Hakeem had a few moments here and there where he played well. This Raptors team is a jump shooting team and sometimes Hakeem was been frozen out of the offense so that is why his scoring has been so low. Hakeem could have scored around 10 a game on a passing team. Lenny is just trying to make a run at that last playoff spot and he thought Hakeem off the bench would be a better move. Hakeem might get more minutes in the upcoming games. Wilkins should have been fired for the poor job he did coaching and chris childs should have been cut a long time ago for his bad play and a better back up point should have been picked up.

I'll never forgive Wilens for not playing Dream in the Olympics. Unforgiveable.

Wilkens hasn't done anything in a very long time.

I think he won once, with Seattle WAY back in the day.

The Raptors underachieved severely, even before VC's injuries.

    Hell, they lost to us!

I think it's pretty obvious. Lenny Wilkens did not win two championships for Houston. This is not a Lenny Wilkens, or any team he's played or coached for's board. Let Seattle stick up for him.

C'mon, no one wants to take down the banners? You want to disrespect the banners but not take them down? Let's just get it over with!

For the record, I don't hate Hakeem. I wish he was doing well. I was just trying to point out that the reason he is not starting is because he hasn't been playing well - ZRB misrepresented tht just to insult Wilkins (who I don't really care about) that is all.

I, of course, would have taken Hakeem retiring over him going to the Raptors any day. It just makes it worse that he is playing poorly there. At least here he was contributing at the end.

Yea, I know you don't hate Hakeem, rimmy. After all, you have been rooting for him and discussing those feelings here for the last 12 years.
